This cleaver is a little heavier than some others, which is an advantage when cutting thick items, especially for me with arthritis in wrists and hands. The weight of it does the work so you don’t have to push down so hard.The blade is sharp out of the box, and after a little honing it’s literally razor sharp and has held the edge for weeks of moderate use with no resharpening.I picked it for the curved blade, because it gives a great rocking motion for mincing fine. At the same time, it can cut through a thick carrot or a chicken thigh with a single stroke. Versatile and a pleasure to use!

Surprisingly good product. Totally exceed my expectation

I many replacing my old chinese cleaver knife that could not be sharpened. I bought this knife based on other Amazon reviews. What can I loss for this price! This knife is way better than what I expected. It has wright and balance that match this knife. This is NOT a knife to chop bones. But, it is sharp, I mean sharp, enough to handle veggies and meat.

Extremely comfortable to use

I feel like this a very well made cleaver. The handle, the weight, fits just perfectly. I don't forsee myself using any of my other knives much anymore unless I just absolutely need a sharp tipped blade.

Very fine knife

amazing knife for the price

wanted to give the Chinese chef's knife style a try before dumping big money on something...but now that I tried it I don't think I will need to spend more, it's a great solid knife, will take some getting used to this style and the fit and finish isn't perfect on the handle material but it still feels great in the hand.i will definitely be buying more of their knives in the future. The only thing I wish it had is a sheath of some kind so I can hide it from the rest of the people in the house. 3d printing a sheath for it now!~
