Perfect size for what I was looking for.

I have a set of stainless steel pans/pots but needed one that I did not have. I make sauce and meatballs and needed a pan that was deep enough to not overflow when all the sauce and meatballs were cooking, as well as have space at the top to let the moisture cook off so the sauce wasn’t watery, and wide enough to cook a large amount. I absolutely love this pan. It was the perfect size. My meatballs and sauce cooked perfectly and even heat distribution. This is my new favorite pan. Better quality than the set I have. I might start buying more sizes in this brand to upgrade my current set.

Love the large size,

I love the size and style of this sauté pan. At 8 quarts it’s really more like a Dutch oven. I wanted the style without the long handle so I can put it in the refrigerator when needed without crowding everything else. Truly even heating and no warping noted. This pan measures 13 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall without the lid, about 8 inches tall with the lid on.. so it really is big! I’ll be using it for soups, roasts and canning. I gave it only 4stars because after the second use I noticed some spots on the bottom from the heat. I’m keeping an eye on those to be sure the stainless steel is durable and will update if they turn out it to be other than just a cosmetic blemish.

Purdy darn good

I don't usually order stuff like this from Amazon because when it comes to cooking I'm kind of a tactile feel person. I want to touch it, feel it, make sure it feels sturdy, so on and so forth. But after my last one that somehow turned itself into a wok instead of a flat bottom pan I went on the hunt and was unsuccessful in finding anything local that made me feel warm and fuzzy. After much debate with the non cooking half of this decision making process I decided to give this a shot based on the other reviews. I'm not mad at it. It suits my needs flawlessly and feels like it'll survive whatever happened to the last one. I bought this and a stock pot and they both seem to be of high quality in metals and build. I'm no expert by a long shot and I'm sure there are some people scoffing at me telling me "you don't know quality cooking materials good sir!" And well, yeah, they may be correct. But I CAN cook and this has done me well, at a fraction of the price the scoffers pay to say they spent x on y brand. So that's that.This review brought to you by a non scoffer.

Nice pan, even compared to All-Clad's stuff.

I got this because I wanted some new stainless steel cookware, and I knew I wanted tri-ply cookware for durability and hopefully even heating. Now, I am a line cook by trade, and have been so for 21 years, and so I feel confident that I can spot decent cookware when I see it. This pan is very nice and well-made. It has a good amount of heft to it and the finish is very nice. It heats evenly enough, especially considering the rather low asking price. I do have a couple All-Clad pans too, but those are just too expensive for me right now. So I gave this one a try. Is it as nice as my 250 dollar All-Clad fry pan? Not really, no. But this pan was significant less than a fraction of the cost of that pan, and for what it is, it performs great. It heats rapidly and evenly, with no hot-spots burning food anywhere in the pan. For the asking price to performance, it's one of the best cookware buys I have made in 20 years. I can't wait to try more pans by the manufacturer in the future. Good stuff, indeed.
