Lightweight and lovely, but you will eat the coating off quickly.

UPDATED 3/23/21. I did my initial review after only using one spoon. I recently ordered more spoons from a different vendor and they are far superior so i'm amending this review. A few of these needed a bit of sanding and the coating wore off rather quickly. I use them daily, never soak, always hand wash and dry immediately. I wasn't expecting them to last forever, but i didn't expect to need more spoons within one year. I even bought food-grade mineral oil to use when the coating wore off (when i ate it off). That only helps for a few washes and i don't want to have to apply that all the time. Again, these are nice spoons but they were my first wooden spoons and I know now that there are better ones out there. End of update.Packaged nicely, arrived ahead of schedule, no bad smells (i've seen reviews of other wooden spoons where there were complaints about the coating's chemical smell). The size is perfect and i chose these particular wooden spoons because the handle looked more rounded than flat. My daily silver spoons (remember that show?!?!) are pictured for size comparisons. I eat with the smaller spoon because i have a small mouth and i just prefer to take smaller bites. I've been afraid of wooden "mukbang" spoons cuz they just seemed enormous and way too long, like they're more for cooking than eating. I took a chance with these and i'm so glad i did!The spoon i opened and used yesterday had a tiny imperfection so the others might as well. There was a sharp bit on one side that would certainly have scraped, but not cut, my lip. I used my fingernail to sort of knock it off/file it down until i couldn't feel or hear it anymore. Then i hand washed the spoon and made sure that my towel didn't snag. Then it was time to eat! These spoons are very comfortable to hold. They're light and the rounded handle is a must. My daily silver spoons are also rounded, but they're heavy (we won't even talk about the expensive set!) and that gets annoying when you eat as slowly as i do. These wooden spoons are not too wide and the handle doesn't leave me thinking i sat down with the "pot spoon" (that's not mine, i have friends who call it that).I love eating with these spoons! It makes me feel some kinda way. =D
