I went for if there is simple sleek design to avoid small pieces that would break off or any other possible malfunctions.I love that the lid has a magnetic closure, the spoon attaches with a small magnet inside the lid. I find these features to be very convenient and helpful.You may occasionally find that if you leave salt around the edges of the rim, your lid does not close properly. A quick dust off will take care of that.I’m very happy with my salt box. It is well-made and attractive.I am considering gifting this to other cooks in my life.

Bamboo salt cellar is a nice addition to your kitchen

My wife and I started using Celtic salt this year which is unrefined and comes in a plastic ziplock bag. It is a little hard to reach into the bag when you want to use it and we had been looking at different types of containers to store the salt in. This bamboo salt cellar was exactly what we needed. It is nicely finished in satin with a clean and simple modern design. There are rounded corners and metal hinges on the outside and a strong magnetic closure. The box has a small bamboo spoon that attaches with a magnet inside the lid and it stores around 1 cup of salt. The dimensions on the product description page are accurate. There are 4 rounded feet on the bottom to keep the box raised off the counter. This box is sturdy and well made and should last for years. I really enjoy the craftsmanship and design of this salt cellar beyond its very functional use.
