Very chic, love the design and it's purpose, but does require more effort in cleaning when it's small bits of tea clinging to the holes. Other then that, it's perfect!
I LOVE this! It is a little high in cost (I paid $25) but it is both practical and pretty. When I am done leaving it in my water I turn the lid upside down and out it on it to dry no matter what room I am in. I can also reuse leaves easily by placing the lid back on afterthought dry and putting it in a dark dry spot.
Order first one and the handle on the lid popped off on the first use. So returned and replaced with a second one and the handle on the second one also popped off before I could even use it. Very disappointing because it is so pretty.
There’s a lot to like about this tea infuser. I drink a lot of loose leaf tea, and I have several different types of infusers - this style, the basket with “wings” and a lid - is my favorite. This tea infuser looks really nice, with a pretty flower design in the mesh. The mesh is fine enough to keep tea leaves/debris from getting through, while allowing the tea to easily steep. I like the color of the silicone (I ordered the light gray, which leans toward a light, steel-y blue). The other benefit of the silicone is that it keeps the handles and lid cool when I pull it out of the cup after steeping. The lid functions as a coaster for the infuser once it’s done steeping, which is nice. I did run into a few small issues - if the lid or my counter was at all wet when I removed the lid and turned it upside down to hold the infuser, the fact that the silicone on the lid is so flexible turned it into a suction cup - making it hard to remove from the counter. The silicone also goes down a little farther than I’d like into the basket - unless I wanted a lot of space at the top of the cup, I had to fill into a decent bit of that silicone portion - not a huge deal, but the fact that my tea cups aren’t much wider than the basket’s top means I can’t see the water level well. That said, the infuser does infuse well and it is very cute - it has a lot more character than my other infusers.
