Nice Solid Drawer That Saves Me A hassle

I installed this in a small bottom cabinet where I keep my crock pot. Now instead of kneeling and pulling it out I can slide out the drawer and lift the pot off the shelf.Read reviews about wasting space because the rails are on the bottom. I bought it for that very reason. If i bought one with side mounted rails the slide would hit the door hinge.As for wasted space? I just measured and the drawer sits exactly 1 3/4" above the cabinet floor. If your worried about loosing less then 2 inches of height then I'd say you need a larger cabinet.Installation was pretty easy. I didn't use the included drill template. Instead I installed the rails to the drawer. Then I set the whole assembly in the cabinet, aligned it side to side / front to back then marked where I needed to drill the pilot holes. Pulled it out and removed the rails. Mounted rails and installed shelf. Nice smooth even action.The shelf itself is well made and feels solid. My only complaint is the price. Could be $10-15 cheaper.But it works well and looks good so I'm giving it 5 stars.

Quality from start to finish

In order to maximize various cabinet dimensions, I ended up purchasing pull-out shelving from three different manufacturers. The LYNX shelving may have been the most expensive option, but for my money it was well worth the price. From its protective packaging (it takes almost as much time to remove the plastic and cardboard protections as it does to install the unit) to the scrupulous organization of its components, the crystal clear instructions, and a design that minimizes installation time and frustration, it's obvious the manufacturer really cares about quality and making things easy on the customer.My only caution is that you will lose about an inch and a half of vertical storage area taken up by the frame and rollers -- just be aware of that if your shelves are vertically narrow. For me, that was well worth their trouble-free construction and performance.

Solid, attractive, and simple to install

This comes with the best instruction sheet I have ever seen. It's a single page (front and back), with pictures that clearly show the part required for that step, language that clearly describes the step, and tips appropriate for the step. Basically, the instructions were written by a person who has actually installed these before, and they are aware of all the pitfalls the everyday handyman will suffer--and they warn you, in very clear language, how to avoid them! All sizes and measurements are provided, including explanations of why and how each step should be accomplished.It's difficult for me to stop gushing over the instruction manual long enough to talk about the actual product! The drawer has a very smooth movement, with a firm stop to prevent it from slipping; it looks very attractive, yet also unobtrusive. I'm using them in my pantry, so I really have no interest in testing their weight limit, but they do seem quite sturdy. I have no qualms about loading them up with canned goods, yet the smooth glide is unimpaired.I will likely seek other Lynk storage solutions as I tackle various projects around the home and the office. I consider this a quality product for a reasonable price; and, with such well-written instructions, any klutz can install them with ease.

Easy to install

The first one always takes the longest, and I think I made pretty much every mistake possible, from not being able to tell front of drawer from back, putting the drawer front brackets on wrong and almost installing the glide base backwards (it is labeled with stamped arrows pointing to front, I just missed them) and it still only took me about half an hour. The next two went much faster and I had all three in the cabinet in about an hour, including time to rearrange the height of the shelves, installing a few extra screws to secure the back of the glide base so it didn't pop up, and also to decrease the forward slide of the 2 removable shelves I applied them on. Putting in the top drawer required a little creativity due to limited work space and I ended up installing the glide base onto the shelf outside of the cabinet and re-inserting the whole thing before installing the actual metal drawer.Pros: easy to install, actually pretty clearly marked, came with 1 extra of every kind of screw (this will be important later). Glides decently.Cons:Instructions don't tell you to secure the back of the glide base unless you have a 20" drawer. Mine were only 14" but I still found it necessary to use that extra screw (see pros above lol) to hold down the back of the glide base. Probably unnecessary if you're only putting your Tupperware in it, but it was tippy with my vacuum sealer and food processor on the bottom drawer. Not a deal breaker.Also wish the glides were full length. There is still about 4" of "less than fully accessible" drawer space at the back. Gonna live with these for awhile before buying more and see if this becomes a deal breaker in everyday use.Overall so far, worthwhile for scoring them on sale. Will update review if any serious concerns develop.
