Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. Glass thickness was great for the price. Seems very durable.
The Magic Enchanted Glass Teapot works quite well. I needed something to brew loose flowered tea.At the first use - when the hot water was poured into the upper chamber - the water flowed directly through the upper glass part with the loose tea, into the bottom area. so did not steep at all.On second try, we poured the hot water more slowly into the upper chamber - and it worked better.I bought the smaller 20 oz. size which only serves 1 to 1 1/2 cups of tea.I would buy a larger 27 oz. size next time.
Note: I received this product as part of Amazon's Vine program.First of all, cool name - "Magic Witchcraft Enchanted Glass Teapot". I mean, that's just cool. Now, I don't know about witchcraft and magic and enchantments, but this tea pot is quite "charming". My wife and daughter fell in love with it. In fact, my wife claimed this one for herself quite quickly upon ordering. The glass teapot stands 6.25 inches with the lid on, and 5.75 inches with it removed (and the glass strainer). It has a diameter of 3.25 inches. The handle and lid are made of a metallic substance and sport an aesthetically pleasing wood-grain design. Upon the handle is a heavy metal flip switch that moves up and down. The strainer is made of glass, has a narrowing slope, and is about 3 inches from top to tip. While the teapot is very cute, what is really cool is its design. It uses magnets to hold your tea leaves in the strainer for steeping, and then the switch releases the magnetic holding to allow your hot tea to fall into the pot. And it works without fail after several attempts. Now, I shouldn't have to say this, but I am just in case someone is not paying attention or just doesn't know, so here it goes ... DO NOT PLACE THIS ON YOUR STOVE EYE ... DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOIL YOUR WATER WITH THIS POT. That is not how this works. First, boil your water in a pot or use a water boiler appliance, AND THEN pour that carefully INTO this pot with the strainer securely fitted inside the pot. Yes, it will withstand standard boiled water temperatures. After pouring your water, securely place the lid on the top of the pot and allow your tea to steep. Once your tea steeps to your desired time and level of strength, simply click the switch and it will release all that steeped goodness into the pot. Now you are ready to pour that into your favorite cup. And yes, with the top on the pot, you can pour with the strainer still in the pot. Now, this will make about enough tea for one cup. If you want more, simply repeat the process. And sure, you could use the same tea leaves in the strainer and simply pour more water in to steep. You probably got it from here. The teapot cleans easily and doesn't take up a large footprint in your cabinet. It would look nice on a shelf, too.So, this pot comes with my full recommendation. It currently lists for $34.89. With Christmas almost here, this would make a lovely Christmas gift for those tea lovers in your life. And of course, outside of Christmas, it would be a great birthday, off-to-college, housewarming, or just-because gift. Get one for yourself, too!
I love drinking tea but hate when the tea leaves go into my cup. This is a great alternative. I love the magnetic system that you can switch up to release the tea or switch down to close the drain. It can help allow the hot water to get infused into the tea leaves before you drink it.It comes in a nice box that you can use to give people for a gift. It is relatively easy to clean since it is made of glass and its mainly just 3 parts to it. It looks very sleek and overall good quality. I wouldnt use this on the stove personally but it is made of glass so might be ok with slight heating.Functionally it does exactly what you expect for a tea pot with strainer. My only small complaint is that it really does not hold much tea at all. I usually have to go through pouring water into the compartment about 3 times to get enough tea so I can put it in my mug. I do think this is great for those tea ceremony with guests as they usually drink only sips of tea which this definitely can be used for.I think as with any glass based teapot, you will need to be careful as you transfer it around since it can crack. But overall I am still very happy with this teapot!
Although charming, there is no reference to magic witchcraft enchanted glass teapot on the packaging in any way. Further, it did not come with any instructions which I had to look up on Amazon. Pretty flimsy for the price which is close to $40. I will be returning.
This teapot is genuinely one of my favorite tea purchases in a long time. The strainer mechanism is the standout feature. You can steep your tea for as long as you like and then release it with a single push. The mechanism is very smooth and intuitive, and it feels magnet-based. It’s easy to operate one-handed while holding the handle, which makes it great for everyday use.The strainer itself is excellent. I tested it with osmanthus petals, which are tiny, and nothing slipped through. Cleanup is also a huge improvement over traditional tea balls or infusers. I used to avoid loose leaf tea simply because cleaning those little metal balls was annoying, but with this, you just scoop, steep, and dump. No leaves get stuck in hard-to-clean places, and rinsing it out is quick. It pours cleanly with no dripping so far, and the handle stays cool even with hot tea. The glass feels sturdy and handles boiling water well. The lid is the only part that feels slightly less secure. I usually hold it in place when pouring, which hasn’t been an issue but is worth noting.Size-wise, it’s smaller than I expected and realistically makes enough tea for one large mug. I do wish there were a larger version, but despite that, I use this teapot throughout the day and reach for it often. It’s thoughtfully designed, easy to use, and has made loose leaf tea feel much more approachable for daily brewing. Easily a favorite in my tea routine!
