The wood looks great and modern.

This is a perfect knife block for a big set of knives. I love that it is magnetic on both sides. The magnets are not super strong - which is great that you don't have to apply a lot of strength to take a knife off. However, this also means you can't attach knives that don't have a bit of a border on the handle to help them hang. But mine all have thicker handles so it works very nice for me.

NOT SAFE!

This is being returned.I wish this had been as nice as it looks. I actually love the wood design but it’s completely NOT SAFE. Small knives (paring type or similar) barely magnetize to the board and will slide down on their own. There’s no magnetization in the very middle of the board or a few inches on the right side (where the sharpener is). Thats makes a board that’s advertised as 14” only about 10” of useable magnetic board.Standard scissors will not stay closed when on the board. They immediately open for some reason. Larger knives seem to “stick” the best but I wouldn’t trust them to stay safely.If you were to use the installed knife sharpener, on the top right corner of the board, ALL of the knives would begin to fall off from the slight shake.Absolutely not safe to put all your knives on. I have fairly light weight knives and this board does not work for them.If you have kids or pets that are regularly in your kitchen, do NOT buy this board.

Wood is nice and hefty docent feel cheap at all. Scratch resistant so far don't see any marks left behind, magnet can be a little stronger. But overall makes cleaning so simple just wash and attach.
