They have a good weight to them and hold a nice amount of salt and pepper. I however use mine for salt and sugar since I prefer fresh ground pepper. Sometimes I use them for salt and msg. The wooden spoons are perfect for a little scoop here and there. It makes cooking easy. They’re a great addition and look beautiful in the marble tray I had laying around!

Nice bowls but poor quality set

Please pay attention to dimensions as this is quite large for a salt caller. It is the size of a large latte mug. It is made of marble and so each bowl is quite heavy. I absolutely love the look and feel of the carved marble. The spoons are also darling and made out of carved wood. Unfortunately the lids are poor quality. They do not fit on the bowls snugly and one of the lids is warped which leaves some gaping. They would not keep anything from spilling if the bowl tipped over or fell. Overall the bowls themselves are great but the quality of the overall set is subpar.

Whether there is a condiment or salt and peper in these little marble bowls they add a touch of class to the table. The are very heavy for something so small and when you attach the four rubber pads to each of these they do not slide around on any surface. The wooden lids cover the entire top with a notch cut out for the small wooded spoon. Evberything about them is cute and useable.
