When you want a proper salted/sugared rim, the right tool matters
There's nothing fancy or special about these - they just work and do what they're supposed to do. They give you a tray with a sponge (2) so you can wet the rim of a glass, and other trays that you can fill with sugar, salt, toasted coconut or anything else you'd like to stick on the rim of your glass.I don't use them every time I make a drink, but if i'm having people over and we're making several drinks, I get them out and set them up. Having the right tool makes things less messy, and much easier. If you use them frequently, they stack nicely so you can set them off out of the way between rounds, or for the next day. I'd only set the dry ingredients aside, and clean out whatever wet sponges you have after each session.

I wanted something for rimming my glasses for margarita's and lemon drops. I had looked but didn't find anything I liked. This is a great solution. There are 3 trays that stack nicely together. They are a sturdy thick plastic that should last for quite a while. I am using one for Tejin for my Margarita's and one for sugar for my lemon drops. The third one I am using for the lime or lemon juice to moisten the rim. Included in the set are 2 sponges that can be used in that 3rd tray. The only thing that would make this better is a lid for the top to keep the stack covered. The size is perfect for the traditional wide rimmed margarita glasses, which I rarely use, but can also be used for smaller rimmed glasses. I feel like the price is very reasonable for what you get.
