Easy to clean. It also fits a wide variety of glass sizes, so you shouldn't have to worry about what kind of glasses you wanted to use. There is space to keep sliced fruits on the board so that you don't have to have a second board for this. Just take caution to let the board dry completely after washing before use as the sugar/salt may start clumping. The one con of this is that it is wood, if it was silicone or another material this would be perfect.

A must for Margarita lovers!
As someone who regularly hosts small get-togethers, and themed cocktail nights, and am very picky when it comes to my bar tools, I can honestly say this product exceeded my expectations in every way. First off the design is super thoughtful and functional. The set includes a three-slot rimmer, I've used it for salt, sugar, and Tajin. It is sturdy and durable. It's not flimsy at all. It is also lightweight and easy to clean. I also love that it has a smart cutting board addition. I've used it to cut limes and small fruits for sangrias. The slots are wide enough to fit both standard and larger glasses, so I didn't have to awkwardly wiggle or tilt my margarita glass to get an even salt rim. Just dip, twist, and done the salt/sugar/Tajin adheres evenly every time, especially when using fresh lime juice. We've recently used it at a summer backyard party, and it totally elevated the vibe of the bar. Friends even commented on how professional-looking the setup is. It definitely made drink-making quicker and cleaner. It is also very easy to clean. I just rinse it with warm water and air-dry. A Lower Quality Bar Gadget That Needs Finishing
It’s not a necessary item in the big scheme of things to own amargarita salt-rimmer set - a very specialized item. But if you have a bar and like to throwparties and entertain, it’s one of those fun, attention grabbing pieces like a cool cocktailshaker set or special cocktail picks, etc. It falls into that category. Even though an unusualdesign (I picked the “gear” design), the person in me who likes mechanisms wanted tosee an actual working gear system, like the cogwheels turning when you upend a glass onthem. Wouldn’t that have been cool?! As it is, the design is simply for decoration.Throwing some salt on a plate or into a saucer for glass rimming would be just as effectivethan filling the cavities of this tray - and a lot easier to clean. Well, this is meant to be adecorative, fun element on your bar and includes the bonus of an integrated small cuttingboard for fruit and cocktail ingredients.Now to my gripe. This wooden item does not have a finish of any sort. It is raw wood, andnot very smoothly sanded to boot. Guess what salt does to raw wood? Yes, salt crystalsdamage wood and break apart wood fibers by absorbing the inherent moisture in woodand leave behind a brittle and fuzzy texture. Guess what lime or lemon juice does to rawwood? Yes, the juice will cause staining, discoloration, corrosion and pitting of the wood.How can a manufacturer of a wooden product just skip this important step? You mightargue that any wood finish could interfere with the taste of the salt. However, there areplenty of food safe finishes out there (think what they use on cutting boards or butcherblocks), that you can get around the problem of taste alteration. I have worked with woodover the years and know of natural finishes like tung oil that will not leave any strangeodors behind and will not interfere with taste.I did use the raw wood once for this review and the pictures, poured salt into the rimmersand cut limes on the board, but I will go and set this item aside to be properly finished byme, something I should not have had to do…
