The perfect solution for easily opening large, heavy cans
I already own an electric can opener that works perfectly fine for regular-sized cans. However, large, heavy cans are always a problem. My electric can opener always struggles, slips and simply refuses to cut these large cans cleanly. Great for hands with arthritis.
My brother has both arthritis and nerve damage, which really affects his ability to use his hands. He has a lot of difficulty using can openers that have a turn knob and the handles are generally too small for his larger hands.This can opener has a long crank with a large knob attached. He has an easier time gripping and turning it. There is a 1 inch gap between the crank and the handle, so his hands have plenty of clearance and do not bump into the main body. Turning is smooth and does not require much force. It is designed for large cans because of how long the crank is, but if you simply take the can to the edge of the counter, you can open any size.The handle is long and works well for large hands. The finger grooves make it more comfortable to hold.The can opener appears to be made quite well overall and seems very sturdy with a good heft to it. The price is fair, especially if it lasts as long as our last can opener, which has been going strong for about 10 years now.

A must for older hands
I hate electric can openers, but the usual manual openers have been troublesome since I’ve gotten older. A little bit of arthritis goes a long way when it comes to twisting motions! I was excited to get this opener, and it did not disappoint. I used it on a relatively small can (appx 8 oz) and it worked great! The magnet held and lifted the lid, which was really nice. The opener made a nice clean cut, too. No raggedy edges or start-and-stop motions needed. The big handle is THE BEST. This does remind me of the commercial, table-mounted openers I’ve used in restaurant work. So easy to grab and turn - such a small thing to appreciate, but for these hands, it was heaven. I did put it through the dishwasher (top rack), and it came out perfectly clean with zero warping or stains. I would recommend this to anyone, whether you have motility or grip issues or not. A+ product!
