Quality pitcher for my iced coffee

I got this pitcher primary for iced coffee, which is my go to morning beverage. I've been making a single cup of iced coffee every night due in some part to space limitations in my refrigerator, so when I finally did a huge clean out I'd been putting off including re-arranging some things, I was able to make room for this 64 ounce pitcher. It's big (and very heavy when full) but not so big that it takes over my fridge. I'm loving having several days worth of coffee and the pitcher is perfect for my needs.The glass on this is thick and feels very well made. I don't want to kid myself into thinking this is unbreakable or anything, but it truly does feel sturdy and I love that it doesn't feel at all fragile as glass goes. While the lid is plastic, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this and how securely the lid/handle screws on to the jar. I was glad to find this with a black lid as it matches many of my kitchen accessories. That may not be important to most people, but it's a little thing that I appreciate since this is something I'm using basically every morning.This comes with an O-ring seal to make it leakproof (plus an extra ring, which was a nice bonus. It passed my test of (very carefully ; ) holding it upside down and shaking it while mostly filled, no drips or leaks.I always put one hand under this when I'm grabbing it from the fridge or putting it back just to be extra safe since we've had a few scary glass breakage situations in our household. But as long as I don't do something dumb like not thread the lid properly when I screw it on, I 'm confident that both the plastic lid and the glass bottle are strong and durable to hold up to even every day use with no issues.I didn't even realize this had measurement markings on the glass when I ordered it, but they've already come in handy for me while I was making my coffee. Sometimes I use ground instant cold brew coffee, but the great thing about this is that I can use it for the "bean bag" style of cold brewed coffee that I love as well since the mouth of the jar is large enough to accommodate the coffee bags that you soak overnight. I think it'd be great for plenty of other beverages as well and if just feels like a major upgrade over a pitcher made entirely of plastic.

Nice looking, functional, and easy to use

We love this mason jar pitcher! Not only does it look good, but it does everything it promises to do. Very impressed that it's completely leak-proof (thanks to the sealing ring) AND it has a no-drip pour every single time!! The pitcher comes with 2 sealing rings, so you have an extra in case the other one gets damaged or misplaced. The pitcher is made of heavy duty glass and looks like a huge version of a mason jar. It even has measurement markings on 2 of the sides (cups/pints on one side and mL on the other side), so you can measure out drink recipes directly in the pitcher. Glass is very thick and somewhat heavy, BUT thanks to the ergonomic handle, it's easy to lift the pitcher and pour without getting hand/wrist fatigue. The thick glass means you can dispense ice directly from the refrigerator ice dispenser into the pitcher without worrying about the pitcher breaking from the impact of ice cubes. The handle is part of the lid, and the lid is plastic, extremely lightweight, and surprisingly very easy to screw onto the pitcher. The pour spout cover is easy to open and close, and there is also a little hook/ring on top of the lid that's on the same hinge as the spout cover. Pitcher is great for any and all kinds of cold beverages (I'd refrain from using hot liquids because of the plastic lid) and is perfect for everyday use or for parties. The lid and spout cover keep your beverage clean. The slim profile of the pitcher allows for easier storage in refrigerator doors or narrow spaces. One note of caution: Due to its shape, size, and weight, it was a bit difficult to wash the pitcher because the soap made it slippery and there was nothing to grab onto (like a handle)...but the pros outweigh the con, so we definitely still highly recommend this pitcher!

Finally a reasonably sized jar

Decent value. Mason jars in general are more expensive than you think, and little attachments like the pitcher piece can easily run $5-10, do together it’s not the worst deal.The spout is circular with a completely straight edge, it pours way better than you’d expect and doesn’t leave drips. There’s a little U shaped piece between the lid and the handle, it seems to be there to pretend the lid from going all the way back. You could absolutely tie a tag on a string to it to label whatever you have in the pitcher.There are 8 cups in 2 quarts. One side of the pitcher has markings for 1-3 pints and the other has cups in even numbers from 2 to 6. On the opposite side is milliliter markings starting at 250 and ending at 2000 but only 500, 1000, and 1500 actually have the number next to the line. There is no branding on the glass jar, or any images or cornucopias.Comes with a spare silicone ring for the lid. You’ll see two in the jar when it arrives, so make sure to take one and place it in the underside of the lid piece.This is the biggest mason jar pitcher I’ve seen, and that’s probably because any bigger and the weight will become cumbersome.This pitcher is great to store lemonade or iced coffee/cold brew. Too many of the similar jars are just too small and only hold enough for a couple drinks while being priced the same as this one.
