The ceramic feels high-quality, sturdy, and heavy—not some flimsy thing that’s gonna break when my son bumps it reaching for the cereal. Its going to last a long time, I think.User-Friendliness & Components: This is everything a beginner or a seasoned pro needs, and I loved that it came as a complete collection.The Whisk (Chasen): The bamboo whisk is well-made. The instruction manual (which is simple and helpful) tells you to soak it first, and it does a phenomenal job creating that light, frothy foam (called chagama or something like that, I forget the exact name) without any clumps.The Sifter: This is a key piece! If you've ever tried to mix dry matcha powder straight into water, you know it gets clumpy. The stainless steel sifter that comes with this makes sure the powder is fine and smooth before you start whisking. Total game changer for clump-free drinks.The Holder (Kusenaoshi): This is genius. It’s the ceramic piece that you put the whisk over after you rinse it. It helps the whisk dry faster and holds the tines in their correct shape so they don’t lose their form. This is a sign of a high-quality set, and it really extends the life of the bamboo whisk.The Scoop (Chashaku): The bamboo scoop is the traditional way to measure, and it’s very easy to use to get the perfect amount of powder into your bowl.Ease of Use: It has become a really nice, simple ritual. Sift, scoop, add water, whisk for 30 seconds, and boom—I have my perfectly smooth latte. Cleanup is a breeze too, just rinse the bowl and whisk, and place the whisk on the holder.

This is a really pretty tea set. The color & pottery work is beautiful. Everything is included for making a serving of matcha (or other) tea, including the whisk & whisk holder. Very nicely packaged & well wrapped, too. Makes a great gift for tea lovers. Keep in mind, a tea cup is smaller than a mug, but the tea stays hot for that little shot, then you can refill it :) Really nice set.

Matcha tea has higher levels of antioxidants and higher caffeine content than most other tea types. This tea set is perfect for making Matcha tea in the traditional method that provides a mindful experience and adds to the pleasure of drinking the tea itself.The Matcha tea set includes a ceramic bowl, a bamboo whisk and ceramic whisk holder, a bamboo tea scoop, and a stainless steel powdered tea sifter. An included sheet gives directions for preparing Matcha tea and for cleaning and storing the bamboo whisk. It all arrived in a well padded, lightweight cardboard box that is ready for wrapping as a gift or for storage between infrequent uses. The items are the same or very similar to most mass produced Matcha tea sets. The ceramic is well made with a smooth, unblemished finish. There are no cracks or chips in the set I received. Online retailers offer 'handmade sets' or vintage sets that are much more expensive but essentially the same as this set.This set is well priced. There are some less expensive sets on Amazon but most similar sets are a few dollars more expensive. I recommend searching the various sellers to find a set in the colors that you find most appealing. I think you will be as pleased as I am with this tea set.
I like hot tea and picked up this tea set for my wife and I to enjoy a cup now and again.The set itself is very pretty. It comes with a bamboo scoop, bamboo whisk, ceramic bowl, ceramic whisk holder and metal strainer. It's been very useful. Much nicer than just dropping tea packets in a cup of boiling water. The open bowl allows the aroma of the tea out and lets us cool it quicker before serving. The ceramic is thick and handles the boiling water fine. The bowl is big enough for a couple of cups of tea.For the teas I make, I don't use the bamboo whisk but for some reason, I really like it. It "feels" authentic. The set looks more expensive than it is.Whether just enjoying loose tea, packet tea, or doing tea ceremonies, this is a good set to use.
