This is a lovely set for the full preparation of Macha with all the proper tools needed in a lovely presentation box suitable for gift giving. Now I understand the recent popularity of Macha at most coffee shops. Research tells me the effects of Macha are an amplified benefit of tea, multiplied by the use of whole leaf powder and and not an infusion of whole leaf as is regular brewed tea. The process is a bit of a ceremony in some cultures, so a drive-thru cafe' cup is not the same as when it is prepared at home. It feels warmer somehow, and lovely to share. The beautiful minty green color of the ceramic pieces remind me of items in my Grandmothers kitchen decades ago.
