Premium matcha set for daily rituals
I purchased this matcha set as a Valentine’s Day gift for my husband. He loves matcha and drinks it daily, and this set looked like a perfect choice. The packaging is very beautiful and elegant, and the set itself looks premium and well made.I haven’t used the set yet and haven’t gifted it to him at the time of writing this review, but my first impression is very positive. Very Nice Beginner's Matcha Set
While I'm not a matcha expert by any means, I've used or watch others use several high-end matcha sets inside commercial kitchens over the years so I may be a little opinionated. This is a great beginner's set with a large bowl and an average whisk, both of which appear to be durable in craftsmanship. They're also easy to clean and good value for the money, but fall short of much more expensive sets on the market.If you're a matcha beginner, this set is as good as any to learn the techniques and explore the matcha world. If you're an old pro, this is a usable set that you may appreciate for it's value, but it's not as good as commercial sets you might have used at work before.

I fall into the second category -- wanting to learn how to make traditional matcha. I've heard about matcha, had the grocery store versions a few times and they were ... okay, but have longed to finally understand the matcha mystique and if I can, master the traditional ritual of making it the ceremonial way. There are also the health benefits, because matcha is made from the entire leaf rather than an extract as most teas are made. My anticipation heightened when I received the order. Even the box the set arrived in is an aesthetic delight, with an exterior pretty enough stick a bow on and gift to someone unwrapped! (And this would make an excellent gift indeed.) What was inside.was even better for the senses. Every item was as pictured on the product page and felt as good as it looked. (The picture didn't do justice to the care the makers took to produce the components. You simply have to see them up-close.) There was some highly expert craftsmanship involved here. Even the slight jarring from the extremely modern-looking sifter only unsettled me for a moment. And it was a pleasant surprise to see a step-by-step, illustrated insert that will take me through the entire process. Recipes too, which I'm eager to try. With this kit in hand, I'm confident that I will master matcha making in no time.

Makes a great gift for tea lovers
This is a cute, ready-to-use, matcha tea set with a bowl, whisk, cup and other tools to prepare your own Japanese tea. It comes with useful instructions for beginners. I like that the bowl and cup both have gold flecks, it's a nice touch! It looks good in person. The bowl is large and it feels thick and heavy. I couldn't spot any defects upon inspecting it. It was a good value, too.I ended up gifting this item to colleagues who like tea. It's a very giftable item; the box and overall look good. So far, it seems like they enjoy using it. They've been able to prepare their own matcha at home with it! Mission accomplished.
