Best Slicing Machine Thus far - Happy we purchased it!
Very good machine slicer! Strong motor, hefty blades (comes with TWO blades, 2 different types of cutting - meats and breads), it is made very SLIM so we mounted some hooks on the wall in the pantry to hang it and get it out of the way. The cord wraps up and stores nicely using a stretch band on the back of the slicer which is very handy. The only thing we store is the extra blade and the clear plastic pushing guide in the drawer. Taking it down to use on the kitchen counter is very easy and quick. Most parts that remove for cleaning are plastic, so everything cleans easy. Blade changing is fast and it comes with blade protectors that snap on and off. One drawback is the feet that fold up. They do not lock in the up position, and tend to fall down if you touch them while storing the slicer. You have to stop, push the release button to fold them back up. Other than that, we love it! It does exactly what we need it to do and it does it well. It reminds me of the smaller bread/meat/cheese slicers we used when I was stationed in Germany.

This thing is awesome! I sliced a few things with it. Meat, veggies, and the last thing I cut was pineapple. I always wanted one but they were too bulky. This one is foldable!! Very sharp and comes with an extra blade. Can fit in small places since it can fold

The only reason I am assigning two stars to this is because it does fold up and it can thinly slice meat though it takes some practice. The sliding meat tray is not well supported. There is quite a bit of "slop" from the tiny rollers that ride in the track. Here is where it gets tricky, you have to apply some pressure to the meat as you are slicing and doing so without changing the angle of the sliding meat tray to the blade is almost impossible. This makes it difficult to achieve consistent full sized slices.This unit is very difficult to clean. The serrated blade cuts well but it naturally leaves a lot of tiny bits (think of using a saw and sawdust) that get into all the nooks and crannies (see photo). How are you supposed to clean and sanitize that? You can't get a dish cloth or even a toothbrush in those places. I took it outside and blew it out with my compressor.I'm pretty disappointed. After just three uses, I doubt I will be using it again. It just isn't worth the hassle of setting it up, breaking it down, cleaning it up and stowing it away. I just bought a nice, 12 inch slicing knife for one-third the price that works just as well but without all the fuss and mess.

A fold up slicer cannot be a perfect appliance, but I am pleased with the purchase.
Love the fold-up design. Safe and Easy to operate. Easy to clean. Slices cleanly with minimal shredding. I have used it for slicing block cheddar cheese, and for turning left over roasted meats into deli sandwich slices. I found it best to slice a solid product not larger than 6”x6”x6 for the safest and easiest handling. The slice thickness gauge at minimum provides deli thin meat slices. That’s what I purchased it to do, and I am not unhappy with its performance. Perfect for an occasional use appliance. Have no idea of how to sharpen the blades, YET. Cons: the motor is not that strong. It “groans” rather than “whines” when slicing denser foods like cheeses. The appliance itself is rather flimsy and the resting tray design is not tight so it rattles. Fine for a home kitchen but I would NOT trust its durability as a daily use appliance, however I think that it is a reliable product for it’s price point.

It works as intended, but I discovered a small break after the return window had passed. Thankfully, it still functions fine for light use, which is how I use it. I’m not sure it would hold up to everyday wear, though. Overall, it does the job, but I probably wouldn’t purchase it again.
