This is a good addition to the Kitchen Aid stand mixer, it is built well and tenderizes cuts of meat as advertized. This is made of stainless steel and running under hot water usually removes any small pieces of meat but comes with a small stiff brush to use with dish soap then rinse. If you are shopping for something like this you must be in the market for a tool to tenderize meat and I would recommend this product. My reason is that I do my own venison processing. This tool can be the most dangerous in your kitchen, do not use without the plastic guide/finger guard and the guard should actually about 2” taller. Never use with small children in the kitchen. If one would get their fingers engaged in the rotating parts it would be real bad, there is no reverse on the mixer motor.

Excellent product
What's not to love about a device which takes up minimal space and attaches to your mixer? This device is so simple to operate. It's well made and tenderizes meat in no time flat. My husband loves cube steak for certain recipes, but it's not always easy to find. Now he makes his own and saves money doing it. I also plan to use it on stew meat, fajita meat, etc. Clean up is a breeze.

Use caution and common sense and you will really like this.
This is great. Works well if the meat is not to thick .Tends to get stuck and shred if its too thick. With the right thickness the meat goes through quickly. I run it through a few times for extra tenderness because I have bad teeth. Its great to be able to buy less expensive cuts with big flavor and be able to chew them .Its not hard to clean and came with a little brush. One WARNING be carful with your fingers. Maybe best to use tongs to put the meat in with.
