Salmon knife
This is a great knife. Firstly, the handle has a non-slip design. It's also quite heavy and very sharp. I mainly bought it to kill salmon, and it's perfect for that because it's long and heavy; it can easily pull the salmon to the bottom. If the knife gets dull, a little sharpening will make it sharp again. Thank you, it's really great

Very large
This knife is very, very very large. It seems like good quality and cuts things very well. It is very sharp. You have to be careful because I brushed up against it and sliced my finger open. It’s a great value for the money. I use it all the time but again be very careful

Amazing brand! Amazing knife
I love this knife! I have three others in the Mercer brand! Super sharp out of the box and the quality is amazing! Easy to grip. And easy to use for different jobs. Well worth the money! I have a feeling this will be in my collection for a long time!

Great Knife
This knife really delivered and is way larger than I anticipated. It handles all my chopping needs no matter how big the challenge is. I have been dicing and chopping everything from potatoes to onions with this and I don't get tired because the weight of the knife does all the work for me. The handle on this knife is also very ergonomic and comfortable so that really helps when prepping food for a long time.

Indescribably sharp and beautifully balanced. This is an astonishingly good knife
Indescribably sharp and beautifully balanced. This is an astonishingly good knife, especially for the money. I've never used a knife that holds its edge as well as this one does. One really doesn't have to apply pressure when mincing garlic, for example. The weight of the knife allows it to effortless glide right through the garlic under its own weight. Yes, it is stamped, but the balance is very, very good. The handle material is very comfortable to hold; soft and very "grippy" even when wet. One minor gripe is with the ergonomics of the handle where it meets the blade: it is physically wider than the rest of the handle. I believe that this is to give the user a "fitted" area in which to place the thumb and index finger, but this makes it difficult to "pinch" the blade for control (as most professionals do).

Buy this knife right now
Comfortable grippy handle and came RAZOR SHARP right out of the box. I work in a kitchen and go though about 50 pounds of miscellaneous vegetables a day and this knife has made my job so much easier. The blade is wide making it a breeze to scoop up my veggies and is very weighty for getting through hard foods too. All the versatility of a standard chef knife but with all the weight of a cleaver it's the best of both worlds, the only reason this isn't a five star review is because I received the 8 inch version instead of the 10 inch. But I'm still very happy with it and am also too lazy to bother to return it.👍

Great Value!
I own knives that cost hundreds of dollars, but for the money nothing beats Mercer. This knife is my favorite for “rocking” I’m trying to cut someone into tiny pieces. Super comfortable handle, very easy to sharpen, takes a keen edge and stays sharp for a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend.
