The prongs are sharp small, and rugged, so they can hold those big slices of meat or birds steady when I'm trying to carve meat up for all reasons! Another great product and pick up from Mercer!!! Keep it up!!
A very good choice. Not cheaply made heavy in the hand and not pliable. Doesn’t bend. Just what we wanted.
Very impressed with the quality and steel of this fork. Definitely kitchen grade stainless steel, the handle is perfect.Couldn't be more pleased with this knife.
Overall ,like all Mercer products the quality is there. This is a well made tool for the kitchen and table that will give you years of service.That being said, I am not a fan of the ergonomics of the handle on this tool. The thicker Hells Handle works on turners and more heavy duty tools, but I did not care for it on this specific item. Again well made and durable, just didn’t have the feel I was looking for... a little too thick.The fork itself is of stamped steel... very study and I am sure durable. I compared a few of the Mercer forks and prefer the fit/finish of the forged options they have (Genesis/Renaissance). The forged options are about twice the price, but well made.Another option I liked was the Acadia version of the fork. It is at a great price point, and uses the same fork/material as this one, but has a very comfortable rosewood handle.In short you can’t go wrong with any of the Mercer options, its all about feel.
We love this fork!! It's sharp and substantial and not some kind of flimsey! There's just times when you need a good sharp fork instead of tongs... going to buy another one.
I've been looking for this item for a while. I misplaced my old one and the plastic ones are ineffective.
I wanted an 8 inch fork this was 13 inches. Looked well made but not as listed which is irritating
