I cook...a lot. I usually use a stack of iced tea spoons for tasting but this is perfect with both a fork and a spoon on either end; it does double duty. I'm going to order at least a half a dozen of these to have on hand! It's heavyweight and will outlive me no doubt!
Even better than expected. Very well polished and a nice size. Makes a nice gift for your favorite cook. The underside of the handle is completely smooth and a nice surface for personalizing with engraving or laser etching. I suppose they would be nice for camping as someone said, but these are a professional level chef tool. Very nice!
Best spork on the market. I got one, then I got another one because I know someone will like it more than me, if that’s possible.Not for the UL gram weenies. This thing is built to go to war. Mercer makes great, affordable products so I had no hesitation in buying this. They did not disappoint
I know I can just grab a normal spoon or fork but this speaks to the home cooking utensil geeks out there. Very heavy, solid feel to it. The 3 tine fork gives it a "classy" look. I don't think it would be useful in a commercial kitchen due to the need to sanitize after every use and the time needed to do so. In a home setting however, this little "spork" is a fun addition to your kitchen. I even made room on my magnetic knife strip to show it off.
It’s a good size utensil but needs a case or a little bag. It was a present for a chef and I notice he was not very enthusiastic with it.
As a chef in NYC in a fine dining restaurant, I go through spoons and forks but the number, so in order to not have another dish washer complaining, I decided to get three of these and they come in handy more than you know, when it's peak time and tickets are being fired faster than anything else, you don't have time to look for a spoon or fork, just use the spoon and flip to use the fork, wash, rinse sanitize and you're good to go...
