So my dad’s fiance wanted just the pearing knife of these. She swears by it. So I decided to get her a set for Christmas. She loved this little set. We tried them out and they cut beautifully, her pearing knife stays sharp and these are a great addition, plus the stand is a space saver. I will be buying another larger set for myself
These knives are one of my favorite kitchen purchases. They are everything you need and nothing you don’t. I am constantly getting complimented on their display. They are sharpe and remain sharpe because they are stored on a magnet. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for the essential knives. They are affordable, sharpe, sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing.
I use most of them for work .I kept the chef knife and board at home. I already had a chef knife from dalstrong. knives are good and sharp and seem to hold up well. the grip is nice
As expected, the magnetic board isn't super fancy but it doesn't seem too bad. The knives themselves are very comfortable, has a nice grip (a lot nicer than expected) and I haven't noticed any issues. They're fairly sharp but not the best I've ever used. I'm also no pro chef but have worked in several kitchens in my past. It's what I'd expect for the money and I can't really complain. If so, I'd probably just need to realize I need to spend more $ on higher end knives. Overall, for anyone, I feel it's pretty decent but I've only used them for approximately a month, maybe a little longer.
When I was knife shopping, I realized that i didnt know a lot about what made a knife "good". But my dad said that he wanted a bread knife and this set was one of the only ones int his price range that had one included, so here we are. These knives cut very well compared to the junk he had previously. I also like how the handles are a little bit softer and "gripey" as opposed to hard and smooth. I like the holder as well, but if you are gifting this to an older person who fears change, they will be confused and think its a cutting board.are these balanced, forged, from germany blah blah blah. I dont know. Can they cut a potato? hell yea!
Nice set. Not a fan of the bamboo board. But sharp knives.
