Seem like a good value for the money. Let's see how they hold up
As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I recently put this tri-ply stainless steel frying pan set—featuring 8-inch, 9.5-inch, and 11-inch skillets—to the test in my kitchen. This full-clad construction delivers professional-level performance for everyday home cooking, combining durability, responsiveness, and versatility in a thoughtfully sized trio.Tri-ply (or three-layer) design consists of an aluminum core sandwiched between layers of 18/10 stainless steel, extending fully across the base and up the sides for superior heat conduction. Unlike single-ply stainless steel, which can develop hot spots due to poor thermal distribution, the aluminum core here ensures rapid, even heating without warping. This eliminates uneven cooking, allowing precise control for techniques like searing, sautéing, or deglazing. The pans heat quickly on any stovetop—gas, electric, ceramic, or induction—and retain temperature well, reducing energy use and preventing overcooking delicate foods. The cooking surface is pure stainless steel, non-reactive with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or citrus, preserving flavors without leaching metals. While it requires proper preheating and occasional oil or butter for non-stick performance (a hallmark of quality stainless), it excels at developing fond for pan sauces and achieves excellent browning on proteins. With practice, eggs slide off effortlessly once the pan is hot enough.Build quality impresses throughout. The pans feel substantial yet balanced, with riveted ergonomic stainless steel handles that stay cool during stovetop use and provide a secure grip. Flared rims facilitate drip-free pouring, and the polished exterior resists fingerprints while looking sleek. Oven-safe to high temperatures (typically 500-600°F), they're ideal for finishing dishes under the broiler or transferring from stovetop to oven. The size progression is practical: the 8-inch for eggs, single portions, or small sides; the 9.5-inch as an all-purpose workhorse for everyday meals; and the 11-inch for family-sized stir-fries, pancakes, or batch searing. Sloped sides promote easy flipping and stirring, while flat bases ensure stability. In testing, I seared steaks to perfect crusts with minimal sticking, sautéed vegetables retaining vibrant color and texture, and reduced sauces without scorching. Cleanup was straightforward—deglaze with water or vinegar for stuck bits, then dishwasher-safe (though hand washing preserves the mirror finish longer). No discoloration or warping occurred after multiple uses. This set rivals premium brands in performance while offering outstanding value. The great quality construction—thick, responsive tri-ply cladding, sturdy handles, and induction compatibility—makes it a joy for both novice and experienced cooks. It's a fantastic upgrade from basic pans, delivering consistent results and longevity that justifies the investment. Highly recommended for anyone seeking reliable, high-performing stainless steel skillets.
I got a set that includes three stainless steel pans: 8 inches, 9.5 inches, and 11 inches in diameter. They have a polished finish. The handles are long, solid metal, and riveted directly to the pan body. I can see the rivets inside the cooking surface.I read on the packaging the brand originated in Germany over 90 years ago. And the bottom of each pan is stamped with “tradition since 1931” along with the company name. But I see on a sticker on the box they are made in China. On the same sticker I see the pans are tri-ply, as well. The pans are marked on the outer bottom as 304 stainless steel and compatible with all major cooktop types: induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen. I only use them on my induction range, where they heat up quickly and evenly. Since induction heats just the pan, the metal handles stay cool enough to touch during normal cooking. I can’t say how they’d do on gas or electric, where radiant heat might warm the handles more.I see on the packaging that the pans are free of PFOA, BPA, lead, and cadmium. There are no nonstick coatings, layers, or lids - just durable, bare stainless steel. Even though they are all stainless steel, I don't find them heavy to handle. So far, I’ve stir-fried vegetables and reduced sauces without any hot spots or warping.
I wanted a stainless steel pan set for everyday cooking and to move away from coated cookware. This set covers the most useful sizes, making it easy to cook everything from eggs to larger meals. The pans feel well made and have a clean, attractive look. They heat evenly when preheated correctly and work well on different stovetops. Like most stainless steel, they require a bit of technique, including proper preheating and using some oil to prevent sticking. Once you get the hang of it, they give a nice sear and clean up easily. These pans are a good choice if you’re comfortable cooking with stainless steel and not expecting nonstick behavior. They feel durable and versatile for daily use. With the right heat management, they perform reliably and look great in the kitchen.
Gorgeous set that fit inside of each of other with ease for better storing. Heats up super fast and even while the weight is perfect for not being too heavy or lightweight so they are all perfectly balanced. It is as nonstick as stainless steel can be since if I don't pay attention it can cook onto it quickly but these are all super easy to clean. Not too shallow so they allow for a good range of versatility especially since you get a good range of sizes that work very well. Overall this is a fair price for the quality and quantity you receive.
This MICHELANGELO Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Frying Pan Set not only looks fantastic, clean and very visually appealing, but they are also solidly built and work great. These frying pans are not nonstick, but they are still easy to clean the stainless steel without the need of scrubbing to hard. Since we have them hanging by hooks through the handle holes that are included on each pan, the stainless-steel gives these pans a very clean look that really accents our kitchen. The pans heat and cook evenly, and we do not have to worry about nonstick materials cooking into our food. These pans seem to be made with quality materials, are hefty and have thickness to them that makes it seem like they should last a long time with proper care.Overall, we are happy with this set of frying pans, they look fantastic and work great.
