Yes, this microwave cover heats up food well (I especially like the small compartment on top that allows me to add water, in order to keep microwaved food moist).But the MAIN REASON I am writing this review today is to inform potential buyers of the AMAZING SERVICE recently provided by the Customer Service Department at Gracenal. Practical and quality as described

I like that it has the dome shape, no worries about it being on top of your food and easy to clean. The only downside for me is that it stays housed in the microwave for my lack of extra storage space. Family members may mot always place it back.. So if you don’t want to remove it every time you say wanna reheat a for example a beverage consider prior to purchasing.

Good but iffy.

So let's talk about why I purchase this microwave cover. My old cover was a plastic regular microwave cover which overtime had become yellow in the clear plastic area, and had developed a not so great smell even after cleaning. Also it revealed its age and many occasions of usage.I bought this particular cover due to the positive reviews and the handle which I really like as you do not burn your hand as easily. The problems that I have with this cover is the bottom ring that comes to be attached to the top clear plastic Dome, in which the ring is made out of very flimsy and cheap plastic. In the instructions, it states not to force the plastic ring with too much pressure. However it the pressure is needed because the configuration of the Ring is made very flimsy that the pressure is the only way that both pieces fit together snugly. This causes of course I'm not the problem, the bottom piece of the Ring is easily detached from the Dome when cleaning. This is extremely annoying and over time can and will contribute to the ring being damaged because of its cheap Construction.I wouldn't consider this a con really but I will note and mention that the top small little cover where water is supposed to be filled to preserve Steam is really not needed and I believe is gimmicky. This however causes the annoying circumstance of taking off the cover to clean and having it dry and then remembering to put in it back on when dried. If anything in my experience of using the microwave cover I have never needed to fill that small cover on top with water, on the contrary my experience is that the water will fill the reservoir on top with water by just heating the food itself. This of course causes to have to again clean that little top Reservoir with cover due to and being filled by itself with water from the food. The concept of this product is sound however the execution is lacking and like I said the top reservoir of water that is supposed to be filled to maintain some type of steam or water when microwaving is really not needed. Due to the cheap construction I do not recommend this cover if needing to replace this particular item. I would really look elsewhere for another similar product or brand when needing another microwave cover. Lastly I in turn have no idea how long this item will last and do not have much confidence in its durability or longevity although it works for better than my old microwave cover in replaces.
