adorable and amazingly inexpensive

I replaced the silver knob that came with this braiser with an Le Creuset gold knob just becuz I have a Le Creuset Dutch Oven that is pink and it has a gold knob and I wanted them to match. The knob that comes with this pot is 5x the weight of the le creuset and seems super high quality and durable. I just got this pot so I dont know how it will hold up over the long term durability wise but so far it has made an AMAZING chicken paprikash. And its shockingly inexpensive compared to the 3x-4x the price tag Le Creuset dutch ovens. These kitchen aid oven mitts are the EXACT same shade of green as the braiser. I HIGHLY recommend those too. They are also sold on amazon I got green to match this braiser and pink or "rose" to match my pink le creuset, soooo cute.

Awesome Pan

Got this pan on a prime day deal and I love it. It cooks evenly and is easy to clean. The enamel coating is substantial and seems like it will stand up well to regular use. My only comment is that Amazon repeatedly sent me the wrong color and neither Amazon nor Misen could fix the issue. I'm annoyed that the pan is blue, not the gray I ordered, but it's a first world problem.

Excellent for Cajun cooking, love it…

This is definitely a five star pot, but only give it a four star because of a very small chip under the lid adjacent to the screw that secures the lid knob. The pictures will illustrate that it’s the perfect size for the large burner on my induction stove. The size of this pot is perfect and was able to fit six thick pork loin chops in it. Excellent for browning, sauté onions and making a roux. “Roux is the Cajun gravy”I was surprised on how even the heat was distributed, the pork chop were so tender it melted in your mouth. My first blue one I purchased and it’s beautiful, and also bought the matching spatulas for making the roux, they worked perfectly together. When cleaning, nothing stuck to the bottom and no discoloration. So far it looks and seems to be of an excellent quality, cast-iron and enamel coating. This pot will see a lot of Cajun meals!May have to look at the same brand in a 9 to12qt for making my seafood gumbo and jambalaya.Yes I pay for this pot, not a freebie and no one is paying me for my review, I don’t usually give reviews, but I had to on this one.

Great company with nicely priced products.

I have many items from this company and all have met my expectations. I have this braiser, stainless steel pots and pan, non stick pots and pans, silicon utensils and all are top notch and high quality..Pros, quality, finish and price.Cons, nothing I've seen yet or disliked about this braiser or any items I've bought.

The Beautiful White Monster

This Misen Enameled Cast Iron Braiser Pan or pot is the Behemoth of my cookware. In my opinion it is an overwhelming value in quality and performance. The pot and lid are thick cast iron with a beautiful white enameled surface that makes for almost effortless cleanup. The cast iron works great in all heating arrangements such as oven, gas, electric burner, or the modern way to go....Induction!I must say I was really pleased with the pot. My first test and use of my new culinary treasure involved the preparation of potato onion soup. I placed the pot of mashed potatoes, flour, milk, butter, sauteed onions, salt, and chicken stock upon my induction counter top. I, set the watts to 1000 and the cooking temperature to 340 degrees Fahrenheit.Perfect For Induction:In just three minutes my soup mixture; that was a little better than three quarters the capacity of the brassier, had attained a rapid simmer and was approaching a rolling boil. I backed the cooking temperature down a couple of clicks and watched with great satisfaction at how well the molecules of the cast iron responded to my adjustments and the action of the induction countertop. I let my soup mixture simmer for about thirty minutes to insure that the flavors were blending properly while stirring occasionally. This soup can be served as Vichyssoise or if you prefer to warm your bones it is also excellent served piping hot. I have had four delightful bowls of the soup prepared in this Misen brassier and it was delicious, more so each time. Served hot or cold it attests to the even heating and the security and tigness of the matching lid. All go together to make a great cooking utensil.I have always been a fan of cast iron cookware and I am very impressed with this Misen item..so-much-so that I would like to see if they have a dutch oven available. What a great way to make Basque bread sans the evil cowboys. Maybe they could cast one with the cross in the underside of the lid to keep the traditional story alive, it is a good story and without doubt, a true story. (:-))))))If you like robust cast iron ware then you will not be dissapointed with this addition to your kitchen.I really like this brassier and the Misen name is a keeper in my memory banks for sure. A quality product.easy clean up. Just be sure to use care and not bump to harshly the beautiful white porcelain enamel.Since I have a small stainless double dip sink in my apartment I carried my cast iron treasure to the bath and there in the sanctuary of my roomy bathtub I cleansede the lid of pot and pot too! (:-)))))You would probably not have to take such care but when one is in love, well....they will do anything for that love.Buy it. Use it, and love it. It will not disappoint you.Five Giant Stars for my Beautiful Behemoth of my kitchen cookware.
