I love this pan. When heat management is used correctly, nothing sticks, so don't use high heat. Use low to moderate only on this an other high quality stainless steel and cleaning will be easy. Pre-heat it before use for several minutes (I do at least five.) Then put in the oil and, when the oil shimmers, the pan is ready to sear.
massive fan of this pan for the time I've used it. works well and no apparent issues with heating. cost effective for the amount spent! thank you misen for the 5ply magic at such a good cost.
Just purchased this beautiful (and heavy) Misen 3QT Sauté pan. It is a dream to cook in and prepare a tasty meal. No regrets, and nothing stuck. Cleaned up like new!
Solid pan. Even heating. I use it on induction cooktop. Lid also being stainless is nice as it wont break like glass lids. Anyone that has broken a glass lid in their kitchen wants an all metal lid. Trust me. Id expect this to last a few lifetimes unless someone overheats or heat shocks it.
Only flaw is with induction. It works on induction, but on higher setting, a high pitched vibrating sound will happen. Definitely not as loud or annoying as some of my cookware (those with welded bottoms, I suspect), but I was expecting non-given that it is ply and rivetted. Can't say why I get the sound from this, but there is one. Only reason it's not 5 stars.
Wonderful. Nice heavy weight, and once you hit the perfect temperature, nothing sticks. If you're unfamiliar with getting stainless steel to the right temp, watch youtube videos and be patient. You will hit the sweet spot.
Purchased on the recommendation of J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, who never steers me wrong. I'm obsessed with this pan. It's heavy-bottomed and sturdy, but easy to use. The heat distribution is phenomenal and it's elevated my cooking. If you take pleasure in making meals and want a high-quality piece of cookware, you can't beat this pan. I'm looking forward to slowly replacing the rest of my cookware with Misen items.
