Misen S.S. Kitchen Tongs -- 13 inch
Nice sturdy pair of medium-size 13" tongs! Other brands I've bought were flimsy and the locks broke quickly after only a few uses. I don't abuse my kitchen tools, but I certainly use them often and for what they're intended -- cooking everyday, grilling, smoking meats, poultry and fish. These do feel nice and hefty, but not heavy, in the hand. They appear to be quality-built. Used them twice since receiving them last week. Maybe just a little pricey, but if they hold up, then they're worth it in my opinion. I expect tools to hold up, so I don't have to replace them every year. Through my first uses, it seems like they'll last. Based on this short time period of use, I'd ecommend these tongs.

Wow, fantastic! The nest tings we have ever purchased or used.They are heavier than all other tongs we have used because they are made of a thick high quality stainless steel, the tips are very well covered with soft material (I assume silicone) which is superior to the other tongs (many different ones we have used), so they world very well.This is a large tong so measure your existing tongs to see if you need one this big (we use it mostly for large heavy items like flipping steaks and chicken) or if you need a smaller one our both.Highly recommended, this is a lifetime purchase because of its heavy duty construction so it will save you money in the long run.

Hefty pair of tongs
These tongs are so much more heavy duty and hefty than many others around this price point. That's mostly a good thing as it speaks to the quality, though for some people it might be a bit too heavy.Having used many similar silicone tipped tongs on this price point, I can already see the difference in quality through the attention to detail. The stainless steel is thicker and seems more durable, and the silicone isn't flimsy or unevenly molded like some tongs on Amazon.The only issue is the spring. It easily rusts. I've had this issue with many tongues before and so I'm usually very careful with drawing right after handwashing them, but these still rusted after just one use at the spring. That's the only thing preventing this from being 5 stars.

I love these kitchen tongs.My son is a chef and I would see him use tongs. I only used mine when grilling.When I decided to switch all of my utensils to silicone, I saw these tongs and decided to try them out since I had also bought a stainless steel skillet.I use these daily! I have small hands but the grip is great. It's sturdy. I've used it for spaghetti, turning chicken, picking up cut items.They are long so don't burn my hands.Definitely worth the money.

misaligned and jerky open/close with high resistance
The pair I received was misaligned, and had uneven tension as it opened and closed, making it jerky. The overall tension was also very high, making it fatiguing to open and close. To make matters worse, when I opted to return it to Amazon, it turns out that certain items can't be returned at the usual location I go to (a desk inside whole foods) and instead must either be mailed back or instead taken to a much smaller selection of drop off locations. So even if you might want to risk trying it, I wouldn't recommend it, since it's a nuisance to even return it.
