Don't buy the cheap ones...they will not stand up to these. Thicker construction, better fit in mixing bowl, lids snap on better and tighter.
Wasn't all I expected, but will work.Nice to have 3 extra bowls when baking though! Additionally you can preset somethings then pull right into the main steel bowl and continue.Folds, well collapses, fairly flat for storage and lids are helpful when storing fully open. Not for cold items mixing as you loose the ability of steel for that but all other items works goodFits tight in bowl, so no overhang washes up fast and easy. Quality should last you a few seasons of baking
I love these. They are probably one of my most favorite things I have ever gotten from Amazon. Definitely in my top 3. I wanted to really use them before reviewing, so I put them to the test over the Thanksgiving holiday and they made everything so much easier. We were in charge of desserts and made eight pies plus thirty six cornbread muffins. The transition between different mixes was completely seamless. Instead of stopping to wash the main mixer bowl over and over, we just swapped the silicone liners, kept going, and saved so much time. If there was leftover batter, I just put the lid on the liner and set it aside while we worked on the next recipe. Normally I would have had to scrape everything into another bowl or wait until we were totally done with that batch before moving on.These liners kept everything organized, tidy, and efficient. They fit my mixing bowl perfectly. The lids were helpful for holding batter and the silicone is sturdy and easy to clean. I honestly wish I had gotten these sooner. If you bake a lot or handle big family meals, these are worth every penny.
The Mixaid Silicone Liners are a convenient upgrade for anyone who uses a KitchenAid Tilt-Head 5 Qt mixer. These liners sit inside your existing mixer bowl, making cleanup much easier and preventing ingredients from sticking. Since they’re silicone, they’re flexible, durable, and easy to wash—often eliminating the need to scrub the metal bowl afterward. The set includes 3 silicone liners and 3 matching lids, which is especially useful if you like to prep multiple mixtures or store leftover batter or dough directly in the liner. The lids fit securely and help keep ingredients fresh. These are compatible only with Tilt-Head 5 Qt models (not Bowl-Lift models), so they’re a good fit for most standard home mixers. They’re also great for reducing wear on the actual bowl and making switching between recipes quicker.
These Mixaid Silicone Liners made my scratch baking so much easier. They fit perfectly inside my mixing bowl. The lip of the liner fits right over the lip of the KitchenAid bowl and seats down flush with the bowl. They have lids that fit securely so if you need to cover your ingredients to come back later, it will keep them clean. Also, great if you need to put your batter in the fridge, you can continue on with your next recipe without having to put it in another bowl and wash your metal bowl. Now for the negative: Once you remove the liner with your batter, if it is not even in the liner it won't sit up straight. The liners have a rounded bottom for obvious reasons; therefore, they don't always sit up straight without falling over or leaning. All three came compacted together and squished down to save space. I can't get them back that way. They are going to take up a lot of room in my cabinet.I find that I really only needed two of these and I think they are pretty expensive. I think there are probably cheaper versions out there that might work just as well.
These Mixaid silicone liners for the KitchenAid 5-quart tilt-head mixers are a game changer for anyone who’s tired of constantly washing the metal bowl between steps. The liners fit perfectly, stay in place during mixing, and make it so much easier to switch between batters, doughs, or toppings without stopping to clean up.The silicone feels thick and durable, not flimsy, and it handles everything from thick cookie dough to whipped cream with no problem. Cleanup is the best part — just lift the liner out and rinse it, instead of scrubbing dried batter off the bowl. The included lids are a nice bonus too, especially if you want to store your mixture in the fridge without transferring it to another container.
I am providing my honest review as part of the Vine Program. I purchased this 3pack of silicone liners for my Kitchenaid mixer to make cleanup easier during the holidays. The items arrived nicely in a sealable bag but didn't include any warranty or instructions inside what so ever. The bowls are collapsible and has matching lids with mini handles although I don't recommend lifting by them at all. The bowls themselves are 5quarts and are made of a thick silicone and come in red, white and black. Once they are open it is hard to get them back into shape though. Also, it says they are dishwasher safe but they will take up a lot of real estate in your washer. The bottoms aren't perfectly round when open but i'm sure when they are full, they will open but i'm not sure how you can possibly put this in the fridge without it falling over. I think the concept is nice and they do fit over my mixer bowl, but there are some imperfections that weren't thought out. Also, the price point is extremely high for these so I would only recommend if they go on sale.
