worked great for my mixer
This is an absolutely essential set for your Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, if you want to avoid the hassle of chipping pieces or scraping the bottom of the bowl. This bundle does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's a little finicky to install, but it's worth the little hassle to prevent problems like chipping and having to scrape ingredients off of the bottom of your bowl due to the mixer paddle being too high or too low.The size of the parts are teeny tiny, so be careful and take your time installing them so something doesn't go ricocheting across the room, never to be seen again!Otherwise, they're made out of quality materials and definitely hold strong under tension from the spring.
The spring is absolutely necessary for a mixer to keep the attachments from rattling. The washer takes some skill; it can pop off and require some effort to recover and replace, but it is a nice addition.
For perfect and helps stop the chatter of the blade on the motor. It was easy to install and will definitely help my mixer last longer.
Spring and washer were easy to install and maintain the right amount of tension on my mixer attachments.
All though it solves a problem, the instructions on TikTok or YouTube is disingenuous about how easy it is to install. I did not need the spring replacement since I had one in place, but purchased it for the rubber stop washer. Because of the placement of the stop screw, your almost guaranteed to cross thread it. Need to have a 1\4" x 28 fine die to repair the cross thread. The washer is too long in the depth. I had to cut about 1\4 to 1\3 to get it to fit. You will easily strip the fine slotted screw head. I needed an offset ratcheted screw driver to get it in place. It is not clear how far you need to tighten it down. It gets very difficult and tight and your not sure you are striping the screw or if it is not the right depth. You can also go past where you need to tighten. The mixer head can not lock into place if you are not far enough or too far. I am an engineer by trade and have assembled many items of equipment before but what I learned was trial and error and many hours of pain. They fall short on instruction. They should provide the stop screw with the washer properly sized on the screw for installation and better details and proper tools needed. A big , long slotted screwdriver does not do the job. After all the trouble I had, I would have skipped this addition. Not worth the headache.
