Just about anything you could need at a great value
While browsing the other bartending kits available, I noticed that none of them seemed to be complete as this one: some forgo a muddler, others leave out a bar spoon (or else have spoons either without a functional end, or those awful uncoiled spoons that are unwieldy to handle). Some of them, bafflingly, only have one jigger, which can leave a lot of conversions or guesswork if a cocktail calls for a measurement your jigger doesn't have.This set has just about anything anyone could want for a home bar. The shaker is solidly made and I have not had any issues with it leaking. Its large capacity and wide opening make cleaning it easy - I have had issues with other shakers, particularly store-bought, being difficult to clean due to their size (and I don't even have big hands). The two jiggers will serve just about any measurement you come across in a cocktail recipe. The muddler has a textured toothed silicone head that nicely juices fruit and muddles berries. I like the low profile design of both the corkscrew and the bottle opener. The picks are a nice touch for those looking to add some panache to their presentation. The stirring spoon is nicely balanced, easy to control, and as a bonus, its flat disk end can double as an herb muddler.About the only thing missing is a fine strainer - the provided Hawthorne strainer and built-in martini strainer in the shaker top will do their job at keeping out muddled fruit wedges, berries, or ice, but pulp from lemon or orange as well as small seeds can still sneak through. For those like me who like to experiment with blended fruit drinks and don't want kiwi or strawberry seeds ending up in their teeth, a fine mesh strainer will complete this bar kit nicely (I use RSVP Endurance Conical Strainer, 3").Overall I am very satisfied with this kit. High quality and good utility. Perfect for a home bar, and the container it's shipped in would make a stylish gift.

I'm so impressed with this product. You can tell it was well planned and executed. The quality it great and has everything you'd need plus some. I really like the recipe booklet that came with it as an added bonus and the container it came in was a cute idea. It looks like the packaging of a nice bottle of liquor. The items wash well and it's easy to put in my bag and go. The price was perfect. I am so happy and would definitely recommend.

Do you work in a bar? Are you tired of coworker's 'borrowing' your tools and not returning them or losing them?I buy good bar tools to make my life easier. I invest in my craft. Some coworkers 'run what they brung' or grab from what they think are community tools. Most of the time, stainless mixology tools are the norm so I went with copper.The shakers tins work fine. The big one is great, but the small one could be a little bigger. I have big hands and prefer a shallow but tight seal so I can fit more into a single shaken batch. The strainer is really nice. Spring isn't stretched out then crammed in...each spiral sits very close to the next so it filters out most all of the larger particles. The jigger didn't see much action, but the narrow mouth helps control the splash when you're in a rush. The tongs are functional, but minimal. I'd like to see them improved a bit but they haven't failed me so far, they're just require a little more effort when picking up a smaller garnish.The rest of the tools are ok. Great set for volume or craft bartending if you're looking for a complete set to get started with. I eventually replaced the short tin with a slightly larger one.

Excellent Set of Lovely-Looking Tools
After limping along with crappy bartending starter gear from the supermarket for a few years, I decided to treat myself to an expanded collection and get a little more serious about making cocktails for friends and family. Part of that was getting a Boston Shaker with a Hawthorne Strainer, and I was also interested in getting a jigger to replace the old glass measuring cup I'd been using.There are obviously a ton of sets available on Amazon right now, a lot of them drawing from the same handful of Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturing setups, most likely. Brands need to differentiate themselves on the little things: appearance, quality of life features, and customer service.I'm really pleased with my choice to go with Mixology & Craft's set, because they really knock all three of those things out of the park. The actual shaker set and jigger are understated, but lovely. The little flipbook of recipes with humorous anecdotes and pictures and the carrying tube are small, but thoughtful, touches.Initially, I received a jigger without internal measurements, but after talking to their customer service folks, I received a new one almost immediately with no questions asked. Color me impressed! The new jigger's well-marked and just as snazzy-looking as the last, to boot!If you're looking for a great mix of affordability and quality, this is an excellent set to improve your home bar with.
