You can’t beat the price and it comes with a thermos. It’s not the best insulated thermos but I have plenty of those already. I love that I can use coffee grounds or j-cups. I like being able to control the strength of my coffee by using coffee grounds.

Purchased this as a replacement for my previous k-cup coffeemaker, a $20 W** Mart off-brand that surprisingly lasted 6 - 7 years under constant use. I would have bought another of the same model, but sure enough, it was discontinued. Amazon offered several similar coffeemakers for twice the price of my old one. I finally settled on this one for $37, despite mixed reviews.So far, this coffeemaker does the basics. It's the right size for the space in my kitchen and handles both k-cups and ground coffee. It's quieter than my previous single-cup coffeemaker, except for the annoying beeping when it finishes. Other reviewers mentioned it being too slow, but to me it works quickly, freshly brewing a large mug of coffee in about three minutes. I'm not sure why, but the coffee tastes a little better than what my old machine brewed. Good so far.On the downside, it doesn't feel very solid. Basically, I paid twice the price of my old machine for something half as sturdy. It also splatters coffee as it fills the mug. I may need a taller mug or something to boost regular coffee mugs a little higher. You also need to be careful that the bottom of the k-cup is fully seated and punctured. This is a new one on me after many years of using other single-cup machines. If the k-cup bends around or misses the spike you end up with a surprise cleaning project. It was an utter ray of sunshine.All things considered, this works as described. I knocked off a star due to cheap design vs. price. I have my doubts about longevity, but maybe this will surprise me as much as the last one.P.S. I eventually found my previous coffeemaker on Amazon for more than twice the price I paid at the big blue retailer. The only difference was they had removed the 'Home Essentials' branding and slapped an 'Amazon Basics' label on it.
This economy grade k-cup coffee maker stopped working 4 months after regular daily use.Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money and purchase a good quality k-cup maker. The extra cost should be worth the investment.
