Get to know machine, try a couple of eggs in your preferred style. I took a timer and set in 4 large eggs to hard boil.Brand says it takes 19 minutes.Set it up, did some exercise where Icould see the light and hear beep. Beep sufficient to hear across room. Might be mistaken but thought machine turned off earlier than 19 min. More like 16. Egg was perfectly done, with no ring of darker color. ( I do prick a hole in fat end which most machines re commend.)I almost immediately did a other 2 eggs, and let the machine beep when done, and checked it against a separate timer. Still a difference of couple minutes. Believe the machine can be trusted for an edible hard boiled egg. Good thing all eggs are edible!! Waiting on grocery run to get more eggs to try the steamed eggs,! To ez peel, ice bath upon finish, and tap shell to crack and roll egg with lite pressure to break into pieces. The inner membrane will help shell to come off in large sections.

Very simple to use. Very simple to clean. Creates just the right amount of heat to boil the eggs, no less no more. Works very simply one button for options. Chime is weak.
Very weak chime ! Five feet away and you don't hear it. And of course since you'll be late, you got the eggs overcooked because the water is still very hot.

I've tried several of the cheaper egg cooker options, and none of them really did what I was looking for. Those cheap cookers made eggs that were always undercooked or overcooked, if they worked at all in some cases.I saw this one, and I hesitated a bit when I saw that it costs about twice as much as all the budget models, but turns out that it's totally worth it. The hard boiled and soft boiled are literally perfect, every single time. And, the big bonus is that this model also makes amazing onsen tamago, which NONE of the other machines can do. It's so easy, too. You just drop in your eggs, hit the button and wait for the chime and you have from 1-4 *perfect* eggs.I'm very, very pleased with this product. Really works as described
Just got this and tried it for the first time. I love soft boiled eggs but it difficult to get it right in a pot of water. I set this to soft boiled with two eggs and when it beeped I took the eggs out. I cracked the top and dug in with my spoon. Oh Ya, perfectly soft boiled eggs! So good. I will be trying the steamed eggs next. This comes with an actual high quality ceramic crock to make the steamed eggs. Crack in the raw eggs, season, and stir them up a bit then cook on the steam setting. Should be awesome! Be sure to butter or non stick spray the crock. I found that out the hard way. Just made the steamed eggs and they stuck in the crock. They cooked perfectly but stuck to the sides.

Undercooks onsen tamago
The steaming function is nice (keep in mind the egg will continue to cook in the little pot, even if removed from the machine). The onsen tamago setting undercooks the egg so I suggest leaving it in the machine another 5 minutes or so.

Above expectation
So decided to buy this due to after accidentally burn the pot when boiling our eggs, so did a few researchers decide to give this a try, it came with 4 egg holder for the eggs, which is a bummer for our family is we do egg a lot of eggs, 6 every morning, so I had to make it twice. Which is a hazard, anyway besides the 4 individual egg holder it also has a bowl that you can make the egg thing with ( I forgot what they call it ) anyway, really simply task, put eggs then add water, press the switch and walk away, ( I recommend to do the hard boil ) since it is actually better and safer for your health, I have not counted the time since once I come back it’s done, then I just take out the 4 then add another 2 press those button, walk away again, after it’s all done if I. Have time just unplug & dump out the water, that’s it, is that easy, the main point for having something like this is that it’s much safer than a traditional boil the pot method, anyway, the eggs came out no issue so far, as i mentioned earlier it’s a plug & play, easy and safe method of cooking eggs. Their’s a bit issue but to me is not a big deal; the cord is short, so that has to be considered where you put this machine, the price is some where in the middle, which I think considering the quality it’s reasonable. Anyway, would I buy it again; perhaps.
