Not Heavy Duty But Does the Job
I had high hopes for this apron as I just started cooking on my outdoor griddle much more. The dark fabric with the leather leads one to believe it is a robust apron that can stand up to cooking and haircutting, etc. The listing shows 'heavy duty' as well. When I opened the bag with the apron, I was a bit let down since it was so light. It has what the manufacturer calls 'vegan leather' which in other words is pleather. The sturdiest part of the apron that fits the heavy duty notation, are the straps. The straps feel nice and the brass looking ring gives it a cool medieval metal worker kind of feel to it. The esthetics and details overall are cool looking, but the fabric itself is too lightweight to be called heavy duty. I can however, appreciate the lightweight nature of it just for clothing protection while I cook on the griddle in the heat. It's light so it's not as hot and the thin fabric won't make me sweat more. The oil splatter and food juice squirt stains are hidden well with the dark color of this apron as well. The apron fits well and coverage is pretty good for protection. For what it is, I would say it's price too high, especially since there is no real leather the fabric is not heavyweight. It could be better if this apron was marketed as stylish lightweight protection since having 'heavy duty' in the description develops a high expectation that leads to a big let down. It does however suit what I need it for and I will probably get much use out of it as long as the fabric holds up from washing. But for the cost and the incongruent description of the apron you'll have to decide if this is the best for you.

This is a great apron, that can be used in the kitchen, garden or workshop. I love that it is so well made of quality materials, it should last a long time. It has nice roomy, functional pockets, and is made from a sturdy but comfortable canvas that isn’t too heavy. The details of suede straps & pockets and metal clips & grommets are beautiful, durable pieces.

Looks Cool, But Falls Short on Quality
This apron has a nice look, but that’s about where the praise ends. The straps aren’t real leather and feel stiff and awkward to adjust. The canvas is heavier than a basic cotton apron, but it’s not what I’d call heavy-duty. For the price, I expected better materials and more comfort. It might work for light kitchen or craft use, but if you’re looking for something rugged or long-wearing, this isn’t it.

More medium-duty than heavy-duty
While this apron is decent, I would not call it heavy-duty. It is probably just medium-weight and won't hold up to hardcore tasks. In my case, I was just looking for something to keep paint off of my clothing... and for that, it works. It fits well and is attractive. Since the straps are adjustable, I can see it fitting a good range of body types as well.

Too expensive for what you are getting.This apron is far from "heavy duty", medium at best. I would not use it in the garden or as a butcher as the listing suggest and it's a hair/fur magnet so I question again as the listing suggests.This item is also listing as handmade which may justify the price but it's also listed imported so now I question whether it's truly handmade.The material is of standard thickness that you would find in a lot of cheaper aprons as well. The whole thing along with the packaging container weights just slightly over 1lb. Lastly, for the negatives, they ship with a card offering %10 off your next order if you leave a 5 star review.Now for the positives. It's comfortable, but nothing outstanding and it does look awesome.Finally, there are many similar aprons on the market place for far less the cost and if this item is imported just like the others then why not order a cheaper imported apron that looks exactly the same.

Wonderful grilling apron!
I'll come back and update the review later as the apron breaks in a bit, but just to start off, I actually like this apron. When I'm usually wearing an apron, I'm using my old Batman apron, which is pretty cool, but not the best apron.When I first got this one, I was a little confused on how the straps were supposed to be. There are two straps with clips to connect to the grommets near the shoulders, then connect at a ring on the back to two other straps. I don't know why I was confused, because it's obvious they go through the sides, but the stiff vegan leather straps had to be forced in a little bit.As far as how it fits, I'm a 6'2" guy that normally wears XL clothing. This was a little shorter than I expected, but it fit around me fine, and can be loosened as needed. Since the faux leather is still stiff, I imagine it will break in over time like leather does, and be more pliable. And the weight is no more than any other apron I've used. It's quite nice. The main material of the apron is a black canvas material. It isn't very thick, but doesn't seem weak, and all of the stitching and corners are iut together very well.I did play around with the pockets to see what I though, and they were decently useful. There are two straps on the left side that fit a spatula and tongs in, a smaller pocket that fit my meat thermometer, and a hoop on the right side that at first I though was for a spoon. After playing around a little bit, I found it perfect for a hand towel. The top center chest pocket doesn't seem like I'd use it, but it might be a good place to hold a recipe card, or a small phone. My iphone 16 pro was too big to sit in there. I also saw another piece of leather on the right side above the hoop, but it is fully sewn on there, and not a strap, but rather a design component.I'm really happy with this and will be using it at the grill for the rest of the summer. If it relaxes with use, it'll be perfect. I think I'm going to get one for my brother who likes to grill, too.
