In all honesty, this is the best chef knife I've ever owned. It's heavier which makes it easier to use. It's extremely well balanced which makes chopping and cutting much easier. And, it retains its sharpness for a longer period of time even after repeated use.
Thus far, I am very pleased with this knife. This is my first nakiri, and it quickly became my go-to knife for preparing salads and chopping vegetables on a daily basis.The company claims the blade is forged from 5Cr15Mov high-carbon stainless steel. The 15° edge is extremely sharp and seems to be holding up well. I like the knife's weight, and its handle is very comfortable. The handle consists of a durable, multi-layer wood and resin composite that is triple-riveted to a welded tang.My only complaint is that I later found this knife for a much lower price from another online source. I went there and promptly bought three more of these knives to give as gifts.
Great little set for someone moving in to a new place, newlyweds or a couple moving in together. Comes with stickers for various occasions to place on the gorgeous box. I loved the packaging and presentation. The set also comes with plastic safety blade protectors, a finger guard and a mini knife sharpener. The knives are easy to clean and I’ve not seen spots form. The handles are comfortable and well made. It’s a good price for a two knife set. They do cut well. I use them mainly for fruits and vegetables. The blade is not too sharp that it’s dangerous, but does the job for me. They’ve been my daily go to utility knives. I’m very happy to them.
It’s amazing how much knife you can get for this amount of money. I have Shuns and this compares quite well. For the money, I’d go this route every time. Nice steel and good handle.
this knife is no joke like a razor ready for a sushi roll ,one might consider the 8 inch blade being more manageabledepending on your knife skills. best to keep it in the box when not in use .
These knives are great! They came with a sharpener, and a finger shield. They’re pretty and razor sharp. The etching to make them look like Damaskas steel is a nice touch. They came beautifully boxed with gift stickers. I’ve only had them a few days but I love them, especially the 5 inch blade. Thanks Mosfiata.
Love this brand of knives. Own most of the. Keeps an edge and easy to sharpen when getting dull. Slices well, goood weight.
