Worth the price: Well made, useful, safety from steam burns and heat, lightweight.

Thick and durable, non-stick, easy to handle, easy to clean, doesn't turn my microwave into a steam jungle. Love it. I use it for oatmeal, rice, vegetables, eggs and more. Looking forward to trying proteins, other grains, and layered one-pot meals. I'm sure it works well for baby food, too.I wish there were a larger size. Probably best for 1-2 people. If it's only one of us, often we eat right out of the steamer. I need to buy another one. This product would double in sales if the manufacturer invested in a recipe/instruction booklet in English either in print or for download. I had to crawl through the "Ask Rufus" AI on the page to find ideas, recipes, instructions and reviewers' comments to put together my own list. And the rest is experimentation. Perhaps there's wider experience in Asian countries on how to best use a steamer like this and what to make in it. I'm happy to learn.Reminders: clean gently with soft sponge or cloth; do not use metal utensils in pot!; don't cook things at 100% power. This can be washed in the dishwasher but I feel handwashing with gentle soap and warm water will make better preserve the cooking surface. Be gentle and it will love you.

Easy, and really excellent results!

Prior to this purchase I was never able to make decent steamed vegetables in the microwave. I was super cynical about this working, but it's super easy and the veggies come out great. The steamer itself does not get hot, It's the perfect size to cook for one to four people. I was genuinely surprised at how easy it was and how perfectly the vegetables are steamed every time. I wish I'd discovered this years ago.

Good little steamer

Good but small, even the "large size. Cabbage and other large veggies need to be cut up.

not just for baby food

The Moyuum baby food steamer is not just for baby food. This sweet little cooker is an amazing companion, especially if the only way you have to cook is a microwave. The steamer doesn't need an insert, because it needs very little water due to the design of the lid. It is an excellent value for the money, it's very durable, but it does scratch the inside if you use metal utensils, but this doesn't make it stick or anything. It's very easy to clean, and easy to transport. You can have a fresh steamed lunch in about the time it would take to heat up some frozen microwave dinner, and it's fresh, with just the actual ingredients you want to put in it. I can't wait til I can fix some oatmeal in there.I bought the larger size, which may not be available. It is the perfect size for steaming a breakfast bowl or lunch for one hungry person. The small sized one is a good size for a smaller appetite.I put sliced or diced potatoes and carrots in it first as one layer on the bottom with about 1 tbsp of water, cooked it in the microwave on high for 6 minutes, then added broccoli and cauliflower or squash, cooked it an additional 3 minutes, then added meat, like a sliced sausage or some leftover beef, cooked it for 1 more minute, and added 2 eggs right on top last, puncturing the yolks to stop explosions, and cooked it for 1 more minute on 70% power. That's for an egg that's got solid yolks. Only 30 seconds for a runny egg. Let it sit with the lid on for about a minute to finish steaming. 11 minutes total, to a really good healthy treat. No added fats or oils needed.

Such a time saver, and doesn’t waste food having to cook it all at once.

So easy to clean, and once you figure out how long certain food take to steam and which things work better when you add water to them (MOST things), it’s so handy. I use it to steam individual portions of veggies and fruit for my twins, so I don’t have to spend 30 min boiling water in a pot for one carrot and a potato. And it’s silicone so I feel great about using it for their meals. It’s super fast and convenient. At first I definitely overcooked some things, and although the instructions say it works without adding water, if you don’t want the food to be chewy or a little dry I’d add at least a little water to it. My 10 month olds need their food a little softer so I usually add a lot of water to it.
