Nice, but not perfect, double wall cups
I do like the looks of this pair of glass, double walled coffee mugs. A nice, contemporary look. I also like that they’re somewhat larger at 14.5 oz than some other coffee mugs. The handle is a good size and I can easily get two fingers in there.I will admit that the weight seemed less than I imaged they would weight. That’s because in the pictures it reminds me of a thick beer glass. It’s really double walled of course, not solid glass. The weight is appropriate.So far I’ve only used these for hot coffee. The insulation does keep the outside cool to the touch, although I wouldn’t say it keeps the drink warm for longer than a typical ceramic mug. My 20 oz stainless steel tumblers, even without their lids, have better insulation properties than these glass mugs.The one criticism I would have is the quality of the Mr and Mrs markings. The pictures in the ad show letters that easily stand out with either a white or silvery color. I was expecting the lettering to either be painted on, or perhaps heavily etched. I think they are etched as I can feel something when I run my finger nails over it, but in real life they are very faint and hard to see. I actually didn’t notice the Mr and Mrs when I first got them out of the box. While I got them for myself and would have been just as happy had they been unmarked, had I gotten these as a gift for newlyweds I would have been disappointed.I do like the look and size of of this pair of glass, double walled coffee mugs, although they may not be the best choice as a gift for newlyweds.
