Flimsy and poorly balanced
With the blade up it just falls over without anything on the board. The slice thickness gauge is on the blade, making it more difficult to set the thickness w/out the blade in the way. Rated as top choice too ( no idea why- certainly cannot trust the positive reviews on this one).

Sharp and easy slicing
The blade on this slicer is very sharp and cuts perfectly. It is easy to set the thickness of your slices. I like it much better than the cheese cutting boards with wire. The only downside is the suction cups. They don’t hold as well as I would like. It is still a handy tool and great for the price.

The blade needs to be sharper. It does not slice as easily and cleanly as I was expecting it to. Especially with soft items, such as tomatoes, room-temperature cheese, and canned lunch meat, it mashes its way through, rather than slicing.
