I've used sandstone coasters for many years, and they absorb very well. These coasters are good quality with a solid weight to them and rubbery tabs on the bottoms in order to not scratch furniture. Each coaster has a nice pattern on the top. They're as pictured. The gold colored holder is very simple, which I like. I would reorder this item
I was poking around Amazon for hours trying to find good coaster. I narrowed down to wanting to get sandstone coasters for their naturally varying designs, and their porosity preventing them from sticking to cups (an issue that eventually killed my original ceramic set).These are beautiful. I wanted to make sure to add to some of the existing photos to show the range in the sedimentary structures and color.These are also nicely finished, so the top portion of the coaster is properly sanded down and has a smooth feel.These coaster do absorb moisture and water nicely. No more glasses holding on to a coaster causing them to fly off onto the floor…The only thing I didn’t like was the standard coaster holder they give out. I ended up just buying a different coaster holder off Amazon that matched my decor better. But honestly think of it as a free item, the price alone is a good deal for just the coasters. Don’t let the holder hold you back.
Absorbs sweat, moisture & drips very well to protect my wood furniture from moisture damage
I got tired of wiping up condensation on and around other (non-absorbent) coasters, so decided to try these. They work well to protect surfaces under a range of drinking glasses, mugs, etc. They’re a bit darker than I’d hoped, but doesn’t bother me enough to return for that singular issue. Overall, because these solved a problem for a reasonable price, I’d say it was a good purchase.
The coasters are very pretty and durable, so is the stand. The individual coasters have felt circles on the bottom to protect furniture, however, the pretty gold holder does not . Would have been an easy thing to do. Hoping no one drags it across end table so no scratches.
3 of the 6 coasters have a really nice stripped pattern on them like the advertisement shows but the other 3 have a washed out blurry ugly pattern on them
I love sandstone coasters and chose this design to replace some that have been chipped or broken over the years. Neutral color so can be used year round. They are good quality.
