Heats up super fast and very easy to use. It has different heat settings for different temperatures. It tells you what temp. for each kind of tea too! Super Neat!! Looks great, easy to clean too. I am happy with this purchase and I use it all the time.
I was a little skeptical but I am so happy that this kettle proved me wrong. It heats up quickly. I love the color change because I can tell how quickly its heating up and how hot it is. I'm a huge tea fan. And the mesh is so fine! Which is exactly what ya need when you have fresh herbs especially. I like to do bags in it also. It's functionality is wonderful. I got it on an Amazon sale so it was a bargain for the money. It has auto shut off which is great. It is so quiet. Absolutely no noise. Very easy to use. One of my best purchases list.
This is the nicest kettle I've ever owned. I love how it lights up in different colors telling you how hot it's getting. I made pour over coffee in the morning. I enjoy a nice cup of tea in the afternoon or evening. You can make a whole kettle if you want to make cold tea. I just love this kettle and it heats up quick. It's made of glass and stainless steel. So no harmful substances
So far I like it very much. It does as advertised and heats quickly, with various colors for each temperature. It also isn't loud like a traditional stovetop kettle.The two things I dislike are the lack of markers on the glass when you hold it with your left hand and the inability to change it to celcius temperatures. I'm a leftie and having to twist my wrist in order to make sure I'm not overfilling the water sucks. It hurts to hold that way and its a simple fix to add the same lines on both sides, plus it makes it easier to see for both right and left handed people.
I like the design of this NELO Electric Kettle with its borosilicate glass body, stainless steel bottom and pour spout, detachable lid with a wide opening for easy cleaning, multiple color LED lights that display the temperature range of water in the kettle, and a digital temperature display in the handle with power control that can provide keep-warm functionality for two hours at seven temperature presets. Note that since the keep-warm setting is lost when the kettle is removed from its base, it must be reset if you want to continue it.Some competitive kettles have more power, but this 1100 Watt kettle boils 1.7 Liters of water plenty fast enough for my wife and me to make coffee and tea, and it is safer to use on a 15-Amp circuit than some high-power kettles. We have not used the Tea Infuser, but may find it useful for preparing iced tea in the summer.Although I like the design of the electric glass kettles and they are reasonably inexpensive, durability is an issue. I have replaced several of them over the past 6 years because they have had several design weaknesses that limit their lifespan. One such weak spot is the seal between the glass and stainless steel bottom (I assume that it is silicone). The occasional cleaning of mineral deposits on the stainless steel bottom with vinegar as directed appears to be reasonably safe, but I think that I hastened the demise of an earlier glass kettle by cleaning with a powder containing oxalic acid that likely attacked the silicone and caused the kettle to leak.The button on the hinged lid of our previous kettle eventually failed to open the lid, which then needed to be pried up for filling and cleaning! Therefore, I prefer our new NELO kettle’s detachable lid. Also, the handle of my previous kettle pulled out at its top and needed duct tape to return it to service (not aesthetically pleasing!). A lesson here is to use smooth motions when holding a water-filled glass electric kettle by its handle, and to use your other hand under the kettle while filling it and transporting it from the sink to its base.One feature that this NELO kettle does not have is a dual glass wall that keeps the glass cool enough to touch even when the kettle contains boiling water. However, I don’t really miss that feature since I hold the kettle carefully by its cool handle, and the single glass wall enables the kettle to weigh less.Overall, I really like this NELO kettle for its attractive design, reasonable cost (less than $40), and many features, and I hope that it will be more durable than my previous glass kettles. NELO states that they provide a 1-year limited warranty.
Omg my son and I are in love with this electric kettle. You can tell someone thought about the features. This heats up incredibly fast we can heat 30 oz from the fridge cold to 212 F in about 3 minutes. We love the colors of temp that it shows as it is heating. Even the temp for green tea has the green lighting. You can set the temperature you want for the kind of tea you are making. It will keep water warm for you if you want. Love that it has glass you can see in. I honestly cannot think of anything that is wrong with this kettle. This is another item I wish I would have bought and not looked at it for so long. You will not regret this purchase
I just got this item and am trying to use it. It plugs in and turns on and the display is clearly shown, and it is on a flat surface. It is filled to the max line. According to the instructions you just need to select your temp setting, and it automatically starts. So far it has not started to even warm my water up at all.I filled it up to the max fill line, put it on the thing and plugged it in. It displays the water temp. I hit the button to select the 212-degree option to boil the water. It does not automatically start.I will change or update my review/stars if whatever is going on is fixed.Edit:Also need to add that when you clean it, please be careful. The metal towards the top are very sharp on the edges and you could easily cut yourself on that.
