Perfect size for a little cup of tea when I don’t wanna get out my French press. These ones don’t rip as easy as other ones I’ve tried. I haven’t had the tea week through the bag and seeps well.
Great little bags! Thin, but they are great for loose tea! If you love loose tea, this is the way to prepare your cup of deliciousness!
I think I got the 2.36 x 3:15 size. These might be a bit bigger than the common tea bag, but just big enough to fill - a teaspoon comfortably fits inside, making it pretty easy to bag teas, if you’re patient. I am getting a heck of a lot of use out of these: bagging all of my loose leaf tea to take to work, making little satchels from used tea/cedar/etc for my shoes, gym bag, closets, and other small spaces. I probably already used more than 100, so these 600 bags won’t last me a lifetime.As far as sturdiness, I have only ever ripped one while filling it, it might have been my second or third one ever. So it is definitely an easily avoidable issue, they are sturdy enough to be used as they are meant to.One unexpected property is that the cotton from which the strings are made has a strong wicking property. So if you let it hang all the way down out of the cup it will get wet and potentially even start to drip. Might be useful if you want to water your plants when you’re away - it’s an old school trick. Less useful if you set your cup on some documents.I will be buying more of these when I run out.
Sooo many tea bags. Good value for the money, I like that they are disposable yet larger than a single portion tea bag. That way I don’t feel as bad about using something disposable because I know I’m using LESS bag + string than I would be if I purchased individual tea bags. One issue I have with these is that they do seem to get…soft? Weak? If you fill them up too much. I’ve had a few completely break on me. Most of the time, it happens when I am taking the tea bag out of the pot, and trying to squeeze it a little so I don’t drip on the way to the trash can. Just a little bit of pressure can cause them to rip. I do leave them in my tea pot for an absurd amount of time (sometimes a few hours) to make my iced teas so that could be why they get so fragile and you may not have that issue if you are just doing 5 min or so.
We are a loose leaf tea drinking family. We had been using stainless steel in cup tea infusers, but were sick of having to scrape tea leaves out of them, they also tended to allow tea dust into the cup, which upsets my stomach. Saw these and figured we'd give them a shot. We all love them. So easy to fill, sturdy enough to pull the drawstring closed to keep tea leaves contained, but permeable enough to brew effectively with no powder seepage! My stomach is much happier! Since they are unbleached and natural we just chuck them in the compost when done. For us the convenience is worth the repeating cost.We have purchased both the larger and smaller size bags, for us the larger is definitely better for a good strong brew and the are easier to fill.
Got these tea bags for loose tea leaves yesterday. Overall speaking, I am pretty happy with them:1. The package came sealed well; individual zipped bag inside a vacuum packing;2. The product introduction says 600 bags in total, but I counted them (I know, OCD >_<), I got 597. But I think it’s acceptable for me;3. The measurement of a bag is slightly smaller than what it says in the product introduction, you can see in pic 4;4. Compared to Lipton teabag, the bag I got is about double size, and the loose tea leaves I have if not as fine as Lipton, so I can fill 2/3 in the bag for the tea to loosen out; good size. Pic 5;5. Pic 6 is the actual use of my new teabag, and it’s been 12hrs. The teabag is still pretty strong and works well;6. The teabags don’t have any weird smell.So, this is what I actually got, and I am very happy. If you like making your own loose herbal tea which loosens up a lot in the hot water, you may consider the bigger size of this teabag.If anything else happens later on during the use, I will update my review.
I felt it was a pretty ok value. But at the same time I am not happy with the product. I use powders in the tea bags and after steeping for 20 minutes the taste was so faint. i put the same amount of powder directly in water with no tea bag and let that steep for 20 min and it came out 1,000 times darker in color and 1000 times tastier.i feel the bag is not allowing for much steepage to occur and so i would be wasting my tea powders if i were to keep using these bags.
