If this tray dimensions and design meets your needs, then it is a decent product.
Okay item. If you are looking for a try to present food or replace one you have, then this is okay. It looks nice and presentable.The light colored item is bamboo...the item descriptions say 'wood,' while the photo descriptions say 'bamboo.' You can also examine the product and see that is is bamboo. However, the photo description also says it's cut out of solid wood, which just isn't the case with this product (or bamboo products in general). While bamboo is sustainable, it does generally require some kind of glue with chemicals to bond the bamboo pieces together...so it's likely not chemical free.If this tray dimensions and design meets your needs, then it is a decent product. I was under the impression that it would come with a lid (since the lid is mentioned in the product name) although you'd have to read further to see that it is the tray only...so double check to make sure you're getting the lid or not per your needs. It also comes packaged in a single layer of bubble wrap only, so the one I received has a scratch on the bottom. I don't mind it but it's not the most protective wrapping.

Nice Design, But Missing Lid Was Disappointing

Really nice wooden butter tray for our kitchen counter
Got this wooden butter tray and it's been pretty perfect for what I needed. The wood looks really nice and feels solid, not cheap or flimsy at all. I keep it on our kitchen counter and it fits a stick of butter perfectly with room to spare. The design is simple but looks classy. It's got these little grooves carved out that keep everything in place nicely. My husband was skeptical about leaving butter out but this thing keeps it at just the right temperature for spreading. No more rock hard butter from the fridge! I've also used it for serving cheese when we have people over. Works great for that too. The wood has a nice rich color that goes with our kitchen. No lid, poor staining, damaged
This tray is made of a nice solid wood. It is a small tray 8" × 7.5". It is a good size for butter or cheese spread.The listing for this item is misleading. It is titled "tray with lid". I thought I was getting a tray with a lid. Very disappointing to receive it without a lid. Looking at the product listing, only one option actually comes with a lid.The quality of wood used for this tray is good. All other aspects of quality are lacking.The staining on the wood is poorly done. All areas around the indents have a lighter ring area that was not hit with the stain.The larger indent area has what appears to be slash marks. Looking at the product list page, I believe this is meant to be a slightly elevated area. It is not elevated on the tray I received and simply looks like damage.The corners of the tray i received have multiple knicks and scratches.Good idea, good materials. Poorly executed.
