Really comfortable and looks great
We've had these mats in our kitchen for about 6 months and we love them. We got them to replace the rugs that we had on the floor which did virtually nothing to reduce/prevent any foot, leg, or back pain. These mats make a huge difference. Last year, my legs and feet were killing me after we made Thanksgiving dinner. I even wore cushioned flip-flops which helped some, but not nearly enough. This year, I had these cushions, AND I was about 4 months pregnant, so you'd think it would've been worse, but I felt fine. These are super comfortable to stand on, and they seem well-made. Other gel mats that I've seen in stores seem like they would be a tripping hazard because it looked like the edges could curl up, but these are very solid and sturdy. They also look great and stay clean looking. I was worried that they would look show dirt, especially since they are black, but they rarely look dirty, and it's easy to wipe them down with a wet paper towel. They do get crumbs underneath them, so you will need to wipe underneath them too occasionally.

Just perfect!
I wanted to wait a month or two before writing a review, which I never do.Here I am getting to it 5 years later!I still use it weekly, it’s in front of a video game I play 8+ hours at a time a few days a week. It provides amazing comfort, I’ve spilled more than my share of adult beverages on it and through the years of abuse it still looks and functions like new.Lays flat, supportive, water resistant, stain resistant and REALLY lasts. The color I picked is a brownish/tan and matches my carpet really well.A little pricey but you will NEVER have to replace it.

I've had this mat for several months now and I give this mat 4 stars because it does really help ease the tension in my lower back as I stand to do the dishes. I chose this particular model for it's smooth surface. I've had another gel mats prior to this one that is lighter in color (beige) with a basket weave pattern. Although that mat lasted quite a few years, it was hard to maintain (cleanliness) as dirt gets trapped into the "weave" of the mat. Since it was beige, it was very noticeable. So far, this mat is great with it's dark color to hide any dirt, it's real easy to clean with it's smooth surface. I bought two different sizes: a smaller one for the kitchen sink and a longer one to be placed near the stove. Since they are very cushioned, I had to get used to how thick they are on the edges especially when stepping off the mat.I didn't give this product 5 stars because I actually had to return it once for manufacturer defect as the first mat came with parts of the edges and the back missing. It was as if "chunks" were torn off of it. The condition of the second one was slightly better and I decided that there is no perfect mat. The edges weren't perfect but really not that bad. Again, so far, the quality of these mats are pretty decent. I do hope they last as long as my previous ones...if so, then I think it is worth the money.

Do it right the first time, don't cheap it where safety and comfort are involved, Spend smart the First Time!
Bought two different sizes, one fit between my sink and island, which was perfect! Fit just right to allow me to enjoy the mat in two very important places with one Mat. They are more expensive but you will see the huge difference in quality, both comfort and safety. The better Mat, because the product used adheres to the floor so well, I no longer have to worry about tripping on my kitchen mats anymore. This was a trial of wit, cost and finding the right product.The second Mat I bought smaller for in for of my refrigerator. Perfect.Believe it or not, I tried fabric covered fatigue mats, at $40 each small mat, then I realized I was spending more money trying to save money. Then I tried the "gel foam type, still too cheap and didn't hold to the floor so a tripping hazard.Finally researched and went for the New Life Gel pro and I am happy ! No tripping, complete comfort and easy upkeep on the cleaning side.Well Done you guys!!!! Well Done!My advice, save the hassle and headache, and spend the money from the start, I was so happy to have finally got it right.

Durable, comfortable, easy to clean
We bought three of these five years ago. At a later time, we bought another brand of mat at a lower price for the other part of the kitchen. The less expensive mat began to deteriorate; and I decided to purchase the 6 foot New Life mat to match the other three. The new mat arrived and the color match was perfect. We've been very pleased with the quality. The mats serve us well for relieving back pain, which was the initial reason we sought a quality mat. During the years when I did wear heels, I was mindful not to step on the mats.

These mats are not stain resistant and difficult to clean
I owned similar gel pro mats for 15 years. The anti-slip no longer held so it was time to buy new mats. I bought these in color midnight and it’s impossible to keep them clean. After purchasing just over a month ago, one of the mats has. Two stains that cannot be removed. These mats are described as stain resistant and obviously they are not stain resistant. These mats constantly need to be wiped. The mats are skid resistant and have good cushioning.Due to the stains and difficulty in keeping these mats clean, I do not recommend these mats.
