This is an inexpensive pie server. Sturdy and well built especially for the price. No serrated edges, but how tough is the pie your are trying to serve? The metal isn’t flimsy and with moderate pressure it goes through thick side crust. It’s the perfect size to lift out the first slice without tearing up the uncut pie. Perfect for using especially at the reasonable price. I recommend hand washing to preserve the wood handle.
This server was just right! I wanted a white handle for a baby shower, so I decorated it with a nice bow and some baby charms to make it pretty, and it performed wonderfully. Sometimes slicer/servers are too thick and don't really facilitate keeping the cake clean and neat looking, but this one did as nice a job as could be expected when slicing and serving a sheet cake. I really like the clean look, and the fact that its presentation was nice for what I needed it for. I would recommend it and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to purchase one again.

Most Items I purchase on Amazon I give a 4 stars rating. This is a simple tool to use in my kitchen. I wasconcerned by the picture I saw that the server would be too big for pie slices. I was wrong. I tested a"sliver" of pie- using this server and did not fall off. A very large piece of pie served easilyalso. Might I mention, I was surprised to see several of the pie/cake servers with a serated edge.I have never used a server with a serated edge and was concerned that I might cut myself on one.I am happy to have this pie server that works well for serving dessert.
