Darling Mini Salt and Pepper Shakers
I have several sets of crystal salt and pepper shakers that are a pain to fill. While searching for replacements I cane across mini shakers. I thought they would look pretty on the table and be convenient. I decided on the mini shakers with the stainless steel gold plated tops versus the regular stainless steel for that extra sparkle.I initially ordered a set of six from another company but one had a busted top. I was hesitant to try these because of the mixed reviews but I realized the negative reviews were older ones. So I decided to give them a chance.The salt and peppers arrived in perfect condition. Each one has a shiny gold plated top and sturdy mini glass bottom. They were easy to fill with a small funnel. I tested them and the salt and pepper shakes out of them easily.The salt and peppers are slightly different than the six gold plated ones I ordered initially. These have more rounded tops and are a shinier gold. So if you are trying to match ones you have look for the same manufacturer.This is a pretty large supply of salt and pepper shakers (24 sets) but the are just a few bucks more than the set of 6 I originally ordered. It's nice to have the extras for larger parties, to place with hors d'oeuvres, etc. These can be used for other purposes also like dispersing glitter, other spices, sprinkles and more. They would be cute painted with a little design and given as hostess gifts too. I have already set aside some for a family member.The gold topped salt and peppers add a pretty touch to my dining table - a bit of fun. I am looking forward to using them and very pleased with the quality and value!

The perfect size for party tables and for individual place settings
I just love these little shakers! I have a set of tiny micro funnels for the purposes of filling things like these shakers. You can make your own funnels out of something like ordinary paper or parchment paper as well, but you will need a tiny funnel. I used about a teaspoon to a teaspoon and a half of pepper in half of them (24), and the same amounts of salt in the other half (24). I don't know if it was necessary, but I did wash every one in very hot water before filling. I placed them over my down draft stove vent, and that pulled out the water like a charm. I had a few of them in front of a fan to air dry some of them, and that worked as well. After rinsing them in the hot water and draining them the best I could, I tapped the water out onto a few folded towels so I wouldn't break the glass. I left them in front of the fan and on the down draft for two days to be sure they were bone dry! If even a tiny speck of water was left in the shakers the salt would cake and stick together! With 24 sets of shakers, I'll be able to place 2 sets on each table at the party I am about to give for my mom who will turn 90 this year! They will really look pretty with all of the other decor! For more intimate parties, I plan to use them at each place setting for the convenience of each guest!...no reaching!!! Very nice!

These turned out to be the hit of the holidays tables and now I use them every day. Everyone had their own for our holiday meals and they made the table look special. And they were just salt & pepper shakers! No more passing around the salt & pepper which means that's one less chance to spread germs to each other. The gold tops added a little shine to the table & the shakers look more expensive than they were. WARNING: Be sure you have a small funnel to use when you fill them up or you'll be frustrated and filling them will be tedious. Several of the reviews on different brands cautioned about the lids not fitting, but all mine were good, and I bought the set of 24! I do wish they came with a little box to store them in, but the boxes available weren't much better than the cardboard box they came in so I didn't buy one. Now I am looking for a decorative box that's just the right size. (and price!) For now, since I don't need more than 2 sets for most days, the rest sleep in their cardbox box.
