Sharp, works for smaller sized apples

This is a new product for me so I'm judging "sturdiness" solely on its appearance and feel as compared to my older one that broke. It appears extremely sturdy by comparison. It is dishwasher safe and has sharp blades that cut well. Its only downfall is that it will only work for relatively small apples. I bought a bag of average size granny smith (green) apples from the grocery store and those were the maximum size that this corer can handle.The blades are quite a bit sharper than my older corer so I learned that I can't just flip it over and push to finish separating the slices from the core (that quickly gave me a shallow cut). However, you can still safely push from the top and that worked well for me.Overall, I like it and am pleased with the purchase.
