Thick, high quality placemats
This is my second set of Niklaz leather placemats (well, third if you count the ones I bought for my parents) and I could not be happier. They are thick and sturdy, color as shown in the photos, easy to clean, and look absolutely beautiful. They add a touch of elegance to any table and can be dressed up or down based on what dishes you pair. They are quite pricey but, I believe you get what you pay for and I have no problem paying for quality.

Beautiful placemats!
I was looking for oval placemats in black, both online and in stores, which was like looking for a unicorn. Then I saw these beautiful mats and, after reading the product description, knew that they were exactly what I had been looking for. They are elegant and durable, easy to clean, and will last a long time. I think I would get tired of them (but doubt that I will because they go with every table setting) before they ever wear out. The underside is of material that keeps them in place on the table, and both it and the leather topside are easy to clean. Anything spilled on them will not leak or soak through to your tabletop, which is not the case with many placemats I looked at before finding these. They cost more than I wanted to spend, but you get what you pay for. They are so worth the price, and you won't be disappointed if you buy them.I noticed that one review of this placemat said it is not oval, and another said that, when wiped down with water, it seemed to disintegrate a little. Whatever about those perceptions, I wanted to say that the mats ARE indeed oval-shaped, and that wiping them with water has in no way affected the surface of the mats I bought, othr than to make them clean.)

Worth it
I almost bought a set of vinyl placemats but decided I'd rather have something a little nicer for my beautiful teak dining table. These leather mats are very well made, lie flat and are easy to clean. I think they give my table an elegant look. I'm glad I purchased these instead of a less expensive option.

Great Quality, Handsome Placemats
I tried four types of placements to match with my dark wood round table. These were the clear winners because they are well-made and have a rich, sophisticated look. They're ridiculously expensive, but for me, they're worth it.

Five stars across the board. Arrived packaged well in a cardboard box. No creases or bends. Leather looks new and has a nice grain. Very consistent color and grain on every place mat. A rubber bottom layer is bonded to the leather top. The edge is finished off nicely and then stitched. They clean up nicely if soiled with a damp sponge and then wiped dry. These should last many years if taken care of properly.
