This is a great product for the price. I love the steamer insert, its great for Bao Tang Gao, I needed the larger steamer and this one was perfect. One complaint is the steamer insert is already starting to rust after only a few months. But now I just oil it when Im done and putting away. I also use bamboo steamer baskets with this, and they also work great.
The best wok/steamer I’ve ever had. The size is perfect. Non-sticky, with a large steamer basket. Great value for money.
I have steamed with this and made stir fry. This wok is amazing. The handle is really balanced, I don't feel like I'll drop it. It heats up evenly and fast. I have had no rusting or sticking. That being said, I have never left water in it nor have I washed it in a dish washer. I also haven't submerged or soaked the pan. I treat it like a cast iron skillet. The only issue is with the lid. The lid feels like it wants to crack or shatter when a I hold it. I might buy a different lid if I can find one.
the botton of wok started to show signs of rusting where the coating wore off. So now a light coat of veg oil after washing prevents rust formation.Also steamer basket was trahafter 1 yr
This light weighted non-stick wok requires minimal assemble as the handle can be easily screwed onto the wok without any tools. I like the extra layer for steaming purposes. I always burn myself when trying to put the food on top of the steam rack when the water is boiling, but this extra layer solves the problem. I can simply boil the water in the bottom layer and put the cold top steaming layer to the wok. The size of the wok is good for my family of 5. The wok can be used to fry food as well. Very easy to clean as it does not stick at all.
I really like this wok at first but after about 2 months of use, the coating has started to peel off. This is very concerning since this can get mixed into food while cooking.If you are not quick to dry the wok and steamer basket, rust spots can also develop.It's very unfortunate. I really liked this when I first got it but I cant continue using this due to health and food safety concerns.Attached are pictures of the spot where it was beginning to peel off. I wiped it with a damp paper towel and more kept coming off. Sadly, I cant use this anymore.
Probably one of my best cooking purchases so far.. use it for virtually everything. The steamer is great for steaming buns/bao as well as generically for steaming vegetables etc. The wok is of decent quality and conducts heat well. It comes with a wooden spatula which was a nice touch.It's important to take note though that the wok needs to be thoroughly cleaned and dried after use, otherwise rust might form.
