I have been using this pan mostly for omelets or my potato/egg breakfasts and I love it! It's the perfect size for me. I do want to point out that you make sure to follow the instructions included with the pan to prepare it for use. It's very important to do this if you want the best results.
Ive never owned such a great pan. its just amazing and I wish I could afford only these as my cookware set. ZERO stick. Wipe with a paper towel clean. Sturdy. Quality. omg... love it.
Needs some seasoningThis is the best skillet I have ever Had ! It is so seasoned. An this wok is better then Non stick skillets. An I can sear. which doing on a Non-stick is hard , due to not able to use high heat !
This is not your traditional cast iron pan - first, it's nonstick, and has a hexagonal pattern on its interior. Second, it looks more like a 'normal' skillet rather than an American cast iron pan - like a Lodge brand for example. It weighs in at 2 pounds, 2 oz, so much heavier than your typical 8" skillet, but less than its traditional cast iron cousin. Of course, being nonstick coated, you won't be seasoning this pan. The listing claims that the pan is dishwasher and oven safe, but with the wooden handle that's not really true. The instructions tell you to remove the handle if you want to use put it in either the oven or dishwasher, but I don't see myself removing and reattaching the handle for those uses and with the wooden handle gone, it's not easy to hold the pan. The handle is easy to attach, and it comes unattached for shipping, but it does take some effort and wiggling to get it off. After just one washing, the paint on the metal portion of the handle had started to come off and was beginning to rust.A few good things, I cooked some eggs, both fried and scrambled, and they slipped out of the pan perfectly. We have an induction cooktop and this pan, as expected, heated beautifully. Also, the pan does not come with a lid, but did fit a standard 8" lid with no problem.The wooden handle does stay cool, and that's a nice feature for a cast iron pan, but I do frequently move a pan from the stove to the oven. I'd probably not buy this pan due to the limits of the handle.
It wondersfull
Wanting to stop using Teflon non-stick ware, I researched cast iron pans. I bought the Yutann 8 inch frying pan to try it out, and loved it. The curved sides and waffle-texture on the bottom make it so easy moving or flipping food. Being lighter than typical cast iron is helpful, and the color choices are an added bonus.It's simple and quick to clean and maintain. So, I bought the three-piece set, which is very nicely priced.I store them stacked, with a layer of the rubbery shelf lining between each pan to protect the surfaces. So glad someone came up with such a great design!
I COULD NOT GET THIS PAN TO SEASON.DONT RECOMEND BUYING THIS PAN. :(
