WOW! 16 perfect brownies!

This pan is amazing! It is nice and heavy, very well constructed. Spray the pan with a thin coat of PAM release spray with flour. A standard box of brownie mix or a standard brownie recipe fills this pan rigjt to the top. As the brownies bake they slightly rise and fuse together on the top. Let it cool in the pan on a wire rack and then flip them out! They just pop right out without any sticking! Easily cut at the divisions if the brownies are connected together. The brownies are a perfect portion size and are all the exact same size! Bottom line: Get this pan!

If done right, pan does not stick.

After reading so many negative reviews of brownies being stuck in this pan, I challenged myself to see if I could achieve a different result. I bought one pan and sprayed the recesses so they were practically swimming in the floured grease, using Pam. I used the included recipe which is super simple. The brownies baked beautifully. After cooling and thumping the pan on a towel on the countertop, all but two brownies popped out. After more thumping the remaining two gave way. The brownie recesses are great for adding any topping your heart desires. I used both raspberry and apricot preserves and caramel. The recipe quantity means you have to make more than one batch. My second batch did not bake the same way the first did...the first had flat tops and the second had rounded ones which meant the turned out brownies did not sit flat. I think the batter did not take kindly to waiting around for the first round to bake, cool down and time to wash and re-grease the pan. I now have two pans to prevent this from occurring in future adventures. All in all, take the time to heavily spray the pan recesses and you will have a good experience. One Amazon reviewer says that Nordic Ware advised him/her to use a particular dishwashing liquid but did not name which brand, to get the best results with this pan to prevent stuck brownies. I am guessing the brand is Dawn since that product is used very effectively to remove oil-slick goop off the feathers of birds caught in ocean oil spills. If in doubt, contact Nordic Ware on their website. So far I am pleased with the pan and do recommend it.

Very useful high quality pan

I love my new Nordicware pan. It is great for making delicious brownies as well as various muffin recipes. This pan will produce perfect treats that are easy to eat in about 2 bites. The smaller size makes your homemade brownies or muffins easier to throw in your lunchbag etc. Anything you bake in this pan will have a soft center with a slightly crispy crust, yum! The quality of the pan is outstanding and the nonstick works well even without butter or oil. Best of all this pan is made here in the USA by people paying taxes here and supporting our economy. I applaud the owners of Nordicware for creating high quality affordable items here and recently creating many new products even during the recession. Thank you Nordicware. If you like to bake, you will love this pan. I use mine at least once a week.

Worst pan we have ever owned

This is by far the worst pan we have ever owned. I bought it as a gift for my wife. We have a few Nordic Ware pans and they have all been great. I bought this one, expecting a great pan. Boy was I wrong! We used it a few times to using different recipes and different things to grease the pan. All without success. EVERYTHING we used...same results.....stuck brownies that we had to dig out. I wish I could return it but unfortunately I can't because we are outside of the Amazon return window***Update***NordicWare contacted me and it turns out you have to use a special dish soap when you clean it otherwise it sticks really bad. Tried it out and sure enough it doeant stick anymore

Be very careful

I use a tried and true brownie recipe, reduced the baking time by 40% and I still ended up with hockey pucks! They were suppose to be brownies with a cream cheese top. The middle section didn't raise at all and the topping disappeared. I know the batter was fine because it was a double batch and then 2nd half was made in a standard 8x8 and they came out fine. I think the pan would work, if you are very careful about the recipe:1)Single layer batter brownies2)A very moist batter3)Reduce baking table by 40-50%
