Suprizingly simple and works very well

I have used this corer for making stuffed potatoes. Easily cut right into the raw potato and simply removed the core with out any fuss. Simple light twisting motion and almost no effort needed. Very sharp and easy storing and removal plunger works a charm.

Great corer!

I have been looking for an apple corer for awhile that would core an apple without breaking or twisting over time. I have used this a couple dozen times already and I don't see it breaking anytime in the near future. The edges are sharp enough to break through the skin of the apple and tube is long enough to go through even the biggest apples. I love that if I run it through the apple one time and I need to get more out I can just aim down one side of the core and "shave off" the extra core. It is a little tricky to push out the core from the tube requiring some muscles to get it out. But, I have figured out that if you spray the edge and inside of the metal tube with pan coating it helps it glide out much easier. In any case, I love this corer!

It's an apple corer..and it works

I bought this because I wanted to be able to easily and quickly core apples before steaming them for my son.This works quite nicely, I have to say. It effectively and efficiently removes cores from both hard and soft apples and the core ejector slide smoothly into the corer to make cleanup a breeze.I can't really complain about the product, except I do wish the end of the corer was just a touch sharper. It's not enough to fuss over though, so if you're looking for easy to use and easy to clean, this is the corer for you.

Perfect!

I was a little leery of buying this after reading some reviews about how hard it is to get the core back out of the unit. Totally NOT a problem. As one reviewer said, turn it upside down and hit it on the cutting board and the core is out. It is enclosed so no fear of a clumsy accident which I have been known to have with sharp implements. It was taking me about 45 seconds to prepare each apple to juice and today it was 5. I stepped back and wondered what I had forgotten because things were ready so fast.If you understand the science of a tube cutting things the dimensions of the tube and the cut object being exactly the same.............it's not gonna simply slip back out! I love this and will buy some for my grown children.
